How powerful was the jailer?

I personally say lower than old god level considering his achievements and actions.
No way hes anywhere close to titan level.
The same could be said about the big 4 as well.

What I’m saying is that blizzard overhyped them by a lot.
Cause they seem pretty weak to me.

They overhyped them because they thought they were telling a brilliant story and making a great expansion. However they were hilariously wrong. Then realizing this they pulled the plug on SL since it was a bigger failure than WoD and have obviously been working full time on Dragonflight to win back the community.

Remember WoD had a lot planned and it was cancelled in order to redeem themselves so SL just got the same treatment which is why it had the biggest content droughts.

So now we wait for Dragonflight to play again.

story wise? it was god tir

game wise? its a bloody push over, prob one of the easiest, if not easiest bosses in that raid (like really, jump in holes, hide behind pillars, stack up, move him around, etc)

65+ elite.

Gnoll of dragon isles at least 66. It’s rough learning you think you’re powerful then you’re not.

Aggramar after being stuffed into an Avatar was weaker than Old Gods let’s remind you.

When Blizzard says Titan-level they mean Aggramar while in an Avatar. Zovaal is 3 Aggramars combined.

We needed Artifacts to beat Aggramar in his Avatar while for Zovaal we had grown to the point where we could take him out without them.

We are still not at N’Zoth’s full level. We only beat the even stronger C’Thun(who like N’Zoth was fully unchained) due to him focusing all of his power through his Eye Beam(his specialty apparently) which was dodgable and even then we needed 40 Raiders not 20.

N’Zoth focused on his specialty which was Corruption and had about won until we resorted to using Re-Origination against him.

Yogg-Saron’s specialty can wipe out all Life on the Planet even while in weakened chains so beating him when released is impossible at the moment.

old god tier or…?
cause no way he’s titan tier, even in lore.
Amanthul, not even the strongest of the titans, was able to kill the most powerful old god like it was a weed in a garden.
I dont see McBaldy-nips doing anything close to that, even in the books.

Yet people in LFR have trouble getting past phase 1.

Amanthul is actually the strongest Titan, seeing as he is the highfather and leader of the pantheon…

The entire lore behind the Jailer has been retconned so much it’s actually hard to tell. Out of a sudden he had his hands on so many pies I’d believe if they told me he created the titans for his master plan from the very beginning. Yet we actually face him in a direct fight in the Sepulcher of the First Ones, but Sargearas was so bad*ss and so big it couldn’t even be fathomed to actually face him, so the other titans imprisoned him instead.

Writing a bad piece of work is one thing, but the writing team should be ashamed to what they did to the Warcraft 3 lore.

Considering McBaldy-nips’ most “impressive” feats have to do mostly with manipulation and gaslighting, i find that statement hard to believe.

That’s actually Sargearas, no? He even murdered the entire pantheon.

thats what i thought as well

Well yes, technically, if you still count him as part of the pantheon he DID murder the rest and almost dominated their souls.

At least we are getting a season 4 with retuned raids and old dungeons in M+. In WOD we got nothing… For over a year.

Titan++

… Apparently.

I wouldn’t even say overhyped. I would say wrote badly.

If they wanted a character that was pulling strings on Sargeras, who had over 15 years of build up, they shouldn’t have had that character barely be seen and die in the same xpac they’re introduced. Totally anticlimatic.

Did they really think we’d care about his defeat the same way we did Illidan or Arthas or Deathwing or Sargeras? Come on, now.

But the statement was that “Aman’thul was the strongest titan”, not restricting it to the pantheon. I think Sargearas was actually part of the pantheon, but even if he wasn’t, he’s still the strongest titan.

well hes still a titan, even though he killed the rest of his kind.
and knowing blizzard he might be forgiven in the future since titans cant permanently die (i think?)

If you ignore shadow lands and pretend Denathrius was behind everything the story becomes so much better it isn’t even funny. And let’s be real that is what happened.

I liked the Primus was the big bad all along theory shame blizzard is too dumb to see the dub right in front of them.

Denathrius was actually the only good thing that came out of Shadowlands lore to me. So much potential gone way too soon for “killing” him in the first patch.
