Does anyone know if any of the books or lore have talked about how physically strong the different races are?
Like, are Undead more frail/weaker than their non-dead human counterparts? Or does the magic/process that raised them empower them beyond regular humans?
Orcs seem physically imposing, but they seem like they’re as strong, or maybe slightly stronger than humans. Where do worgen fall in that? Then you have the races that you would assume are the strongest for each faction (Probably Tauren/HM tauren for horde and Dwarves for the alliance) Space goats are buff but they don’t come off as imposing as say, an orc, or even just a human.
In terms of raw physical strength Orcs are second only to the Tauren and both Orcs and Tauren a immensely more powerful than Warcraft Humans.

That’s racist all races are equal no matter what.

Zandalari are pretty strong as well.

It’s hard to determine based on size and muscle tone. A dwarf for example should be weaker than a Tauren. Yet muradin can chuck a hammer at beasts the size of a dragon and kill them.

Worgen are the strongest race by far.
In Wolfheart it was mentioned they could solo 5 hordes of any race. In game we see them throwing entire carriages with one hand like nothing.
Lightforged should come next given the way they were chewing up demons by force alone.
Taurens would be next. Just natural sheer power.
Then Zandalari and Kul’Tirans (KTs are mentioned to be big because they are a race monster hunters)
Then Orcs. And normal draenei.
Then Dwarves. Probably trolls.
Then The rest.

i mean like… gnomes… they look like very young children. So i figure they arent so much bench pressing 200lbs but more hyper agile and with rapid reflexes and any video or whatnot of a gnome doing something along the lines of super human strength would be immersion breaking to me

Yeah I can’t believe I forgot about the trolls, they seem pretty burly, especially the Zandalari.
I wonder if the elves are more agile strength, they look delicate but in most other fantasy worlds they’re definitely not weak, but less likely to focus on brute strength (probably because elves are usually magically gifted in most universes)

Orcs are the strongest since they’ve carried half the expansions.

Yeah I can see that, to a certain extent that kind of stuff has to take a backseat for game reasons.
I always figured dwarves would be the strongest alliance race, a life spent mining and smithing would lead to some pretty massive brute strength. Like Athrogate (but he has a giants strength belt) or how Wulfgar was raised (both from R.A. Salvatores books)

According to the old classic stat pages…
- Tauren: 25
- Orc: 23
- Dwarf: 22
- Troll: 21
- Human: 20
- Undead: 19
- Night Elf: 17
- Gnome: 15
Being a warrior adds +3… so a Gnome Warrior is more physically strong than a Night Elf Hunter for example, but still far below other races.

i dont think we were talking about stats
just lore wise
That’s what makes it so much fun to gear up a Gnome female Death Knight and chop them to bits in battlegrounds while spamming /giggle.

This is neat. Is it consistent with any written lore too?

That’s pretty cool, I didn’t know that I always wondered how they stacked up; turns out pretty op. Are those Worgen the ones still enraged/maddened by the pack form or are those like the ones we play?

Trolls (even Darkspear) seem to be deceptively strong. Their berserkers have put the hurt on many different people from all over the world.
