How Oldschool R U?

Sigh I do. I so do. and I so do not miss it!

2007 Burning Crusade. I made an Orc hunter but my pet died and I didn’t know how to revive him so I made a Belf paladin that I still play.

I started back in…

…oh wait, I answered this already.

i installed the game and made my account in late 2011, probably right around dragon soul release? i must have just turned nine years old
i had played a bit in the months (maybe even year) leading up because my friends played WoW and i would watch them or play on their account lol

so not super old school i suppose

I’m so old school that when I listen to music on my phone I still prop it up on my shoulder.

My Adidas also have no laces.

I started with a mage and not a clue what I was doing. I kept meleeing the mobs in the starting area until my dagger (maybe was a staff?) broke and didn’t have a enough silver to fix it so deleted it and started my pally who is still my main.

A couple months after launch.

I uhh took my dads credit card and used that to start with the initial 30 free days then remove it once I bought a game time card from EB, but dad found out about it and hooo boy he was not happy. Did let me play it though.

He really shouldn’t have. My life would probably be very different, for the better, if I didn’t get sucked into this black hole of a game…

Is this a trick question?

Open beta. Almost went to EQ2 instead, so glad I ended up with WoW.

Started just before Legion came out in 2016.
Does that make me Elementaryschool?

December 04… started when my Quake III CTF clan all started playing it…

I started in 2006 end of vanilla, im older but i dont feel old

I need to tell this with a backstory. I’m from Europe, Ukraine. I learned about WoW in an interesting way. I overheard a lively conversation in a computer club that seemed funny to me. The guys were joking about how our Russian-speaking players captured several European servers. I was a child back then, a schoolboy, and to help you understand, at that time I had no idea and for me it was something unreal that there was some huge virtual world, and in it players run around and each has their own individual appearance, race, class and that in this world (at that time) there were thousands of players, and the world was created for Western Europeans, but somehow it was captured and populated by our players (there were no Russian-speaking gaming worlds back then). I begged for money for a subscription and skipped lessons in Azeroth in the company of much older people than me. I didn’t understand what was happening at all, nothing was clear, and the game was in English, but the fact that I was in another world, I had a night elf, and I was exploring this world as it was also captured by our players, it was magical. Then these game worlds were closed, and they created ours, Russian-speaking ones. And a year ago, I started everything from scratch because of moving to the American continent, and I have a question… Blizzard, I’m willing to buy the game twice for two accounts, but why do I have to start from scratch? Why can’t you extend collections to all regions? Do something about it.

I started playing this game back in Vanilla. This isn’t my original account however as I had lost access to it. Created this account around The Burning Crusade days and made this character that I’ve been playing since!

Back in Vanilla, I tried a Night Elf Warrior first and then a Human Mage. My friends from way back then no longer play this game however. But I do believe they play Diablo III and Diablo IV.

I started in 2007, right after BC launched I believe, maybe mid way through.

Been here ever since.

I don’t like to think of myself as getting old but the other day I had to scale up the UI so I could see it and that was pretty humbling

:smiling_face_with_tear:

I played Oregon trail on the Mac those huge floppy discs.

Internet wasn’t even born yet!

Wanted something to do? Go climb trees or dig in the ditch for crawdads, beware glass.

But yeah was about June 2007 I joined

Started a warrior tauren

I was there when Velen fled Argus. I was there when it was just orcs vs. humans. I was there when B.net told you how many people were playing

I was already 26 when the game came out and started playing about 2 months after release.

My first computer I owned was a Tandy 1000HX… But used much older PCs and Macs before then.

Played since December 2003 on Illidan server as Alliance. Alliance on that server was great.

Yep, I have no clue why blizzard doesn’t have it where after say a month or 2… After the last response they lock the thread
