How much should chaos bolt be buffed

For it to not be noodle bolt? As it currently stands regular/non-buffed chaos bolts critting for about 1M~ bit more depending on factors.

That’s almost 50% less than my soul harvester shadowbolt crits, something’s off here.

I don’t want soul harvester’s big bolts to be nerfed tbh, that playstyle is quite refreshing on aff in contrast to the old heavy dot based style (it’s nice to have both).

But destro doesn’t feel like “destro” until chaos bolt is the hardest hitting spell in the game, rightfully so if i might add.

A turret spec can only warrant turreting if it hits like a truck. Other casters have the machine gun playstyle with a lot of mobility and if destro’s the artillery strike then chaos bolt has to at least do more than soul harvester 's sbolt crits.

So this might sound crazy but i think even a 50% buff to chaos bolt damage might not be too far fetched, or dare i say, mild?

What do you guys think? How much should cbolts be buffed?

From a class fantasy standpoint, I feel Chaos Bolt should be hitting as hard as the biggest nukes (Full Moon, Elemental Blast, Glacial Spike, etc) from other casters. Reduce the frequency which Destruction casts Chaos Bolt to balance it out, but it should feel way more impactful to cast than it does right now.

The ritual chaos bolt summoning a pet to cast mini chaos bolts is lame.

Remove it, add dmg to your chaos bolt. Would be like a single target diabolist ruination proc.
