I have about 600 resil, but I’m stuck because I have some naxx pieces and I’m unsure how valuable the resil gear is in comparison. Like should I really bank the naxx gear and lose all those stats just for a 50 resil gain

It depend on the class and the comp
It depends on your class and comp. Varies if you’re going to be a common focus or swap target. Ball park 700-800 on average. Rogues seem to take less. Also depends on what naxx gear we’re talking. You’ll want PvE modifiers for weapons and hit pieces anyway.
What the other two people said above. Depends on class, but seeing as you’re on a shaman you’re going to want as much resil as possible because you will be a focus 9 times out of 10.

Generally I like to get as much as possible.
I’m near full bis on my hunter with raid gear but still use every pvp piece and have 1000+ resil. Really notice a difference in pvp, even if you’re not always the focus target.
Pvp gear also tends to have alot of crit, which is more valuable in pvp than some other stats.

How do you have 1000+ resil? I have full pvp gear with resil enchants on helm, shoulders, and chest and resil gems in my chest, shoulders, and boots. Obviously minus weapons and I use greatness over anvil and i am only at 794? so with anvil it would be around 875ish so thats another 125 resil ontop of that.
full deadly pvp set with weapons + resil gems.
Chaos deck can get you another 100 as well.

Let’s say you got lucky and got all 3 deadly in 2 weeks from VOA, your telling me you had enough points to get deadly shoulder, head, bow and melee weapons with 1 week of points… impressive haul my friend
yes you can, i’m literally using 2 of them.
If you’re an ele or resto shaman, get the resilience.
If you are the kill target then resil is very important. And as a shaman, you are the kill target.

Ok. You stated full deadly, valor offers hateful epics, not deadly. Also there are no blue weapons with resil unless you are referring to the lvl 70 stuff?
It is by far the best stat in pvp. Think about how easy it is to deal damage vs how difficult it is to avoid damage in this meta. Healers should be pushing 900-1000 and dps 800 at the very very minimum
There are blue pvp weapons sold by goblin in Dalaran sewers.
You can’t buy those in game. It’s a bug and they were never added. Even back in og wotlk.
I’ve gone as high as 983 resil. Trying to experiment with less res now and more sp/haste and about 800 res, but initial reaction is that I’ll probably go back to near full resil.
I believe you will want resil on every piece possible during this season because HP values arent that high compared to the burst damage that is out there. I believe as the seasons continue and the PvP gear has more baseline stamina and resilience, you can start weaving in more PvE gear.
He’s a hunter. They sell one-handed axes for hunters there along with the librams/idols/etc. They don’t sell a ranged weapon though.
