Just out of curiosity how much total real money do you think you have spent on the game since you started?
For me I started since BC so just think about the $15 each month , buying each new xpac, any services you bought like realm change faction change etc. anything from the store like mounts, pets and if you got some Wow tokens for real money.
I dont know the exact amount but definitely thousands of dollars. What do you think your total cost is?

About 1200 over the last 10 years not bad at all if you look at my cable bill and compare
There are some questions that dont need answers.
This is one of them.

The real question is … how much money have their parents spent on the game.
A lot. I sometimes fund 5-10 accounts but I also take long breaks, too. 6-12 months sometimes if I’m not enjoying the game. I couldn’t give an actual number but easily 2 accounts funded since TBC.
Over eight dollars, but less than 20 million dollars.

Let’s work it out…
In Australia, wow sub is $20, so I started mid 2011, and not been unsubbed since so…20 x 12 is what…$240 for first year. So by now, it would be at least $1920, but it’s probably more $1000 as I got lots of wow tokens since WoD came out. But if you take into consideration that Blizzard technically makes more money when I get a token it adds up to more than $2000, but it would be about half of that that’s come out of my pocket, that’s a rough guess.
So yeah, only $1k technically but in theory, over $2k. So honestly…not that much.
Let’s see… 15 years * 12mo/yr * $13/mo = $2340.
Original game was like $40, and each Collector’s Edition is something like $60-$70, so…
About $2750 or so, over the course of 15 years?
To be honest, I’m a little surprised they’ve never raised the subscription cost.

Yeah so if you been here for 10 years, you looking at about 2.5k, if been here since beginning probably 3k.
Was worth every cent though, even if I am at the point where I am not decided whether or not wow has served its purpose. But then again, lots of people in my life have served their purpose, will probably ditch quite a few friendships before Christmas. Will try and get it done before December begins though.
That’s a good question. I don’t actually know, but i do know it isn’t even close to a quarter of what i spent on the mmorpg i played before i got into WoW.
Less than I spend at Starbucks. I’m old and well paid… (shrugs and munches on cookies)

Around $7000 but you have to remember I’ve been playing for 15 years and I’m currently on my 3rd and 4th account…but ive always had at least 2 active accounts…so on average I send about 39 a month.
