Not sure how old he is or how long Draenei live to. But how much time does that dude have left?
No human living today will see Velen die of old age.
Also he’s still alive in Son of the Wolf, which flashes forward to show Anduin in old age. Velen’ll be fine.
I don’t know he looks kind of old to me with that grey hair and all.
Might just be me not knowing the lore all that well but don’t eredar live forever in a sense? As in, they don’t ever die of old age.

I don’t think night elf, blood elf, draenei, eredar, die of old age.
I think kaelthas grandfather or something died of old age and it was like 5,000 years old. so draenei must be atleast 50,000 years old or something. who knows.
in an alternate timeline, Velen became High King but was killed during the Legion invasion by a random demon, then chose Tyrande to be his successor because the light told him she would save the Alliance, but instead she burned down Orgrimmar and started a war.
This is also the timeline where Anduin creates a time portal to alternate Azeroth to create a Titanium Alliance to invade Draenor in an attempt to conquer it with AU Varian.

He’s older than the human race. I don’t think we have to worry about him dropping dead of old age any time soon.
What you should worry about is the fact that he’s a second string racial leader of a race Blizz seems to not care about any more, and prolly the most powerful Light user around when the story is setting up the void as the big bad for the foreseeable future. From this point on he’s a walking target for the Old Gods.
Who is Valen and why do we care?
Draenei are already incredibly long lived, such a close relationship with the light may make them immortal, who knows.
He’s probably Lightforged like Turalyon, which extended his lifetime through the light.
