According to ChatGPT:
Based on recent listings and sales data, the estimated resale value of your HP Omen Obelisk with the specified configuration is approximately $700 to $1,100. This range reflects the following factors:
For instance, a refurbished HP Omen Obelisk with an i7-8700, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 2TB HDD, and RTX 2080 is listed at $1,099.99 on Newegg.
Additionally, eBay listings for similar configurations show prices ranging from $700 to $1,100, depending on condition and included accessories.
Please note that actual resale value can vary based on factors such as the computer’s condition, market demand, and included accessories.
Oh damn i was gonna sell it to him for $200 lol
Not much…if someone offered you $500 for your used pc… take it
What u talking about this is my old pc, i got a new pc already, you guys gota read the post
I’m saying to sell it if you’re offered $500
Oh yea, ill take 500 for sure, but i think he offered like 150 which im not going for that
It’s worth more than that.
I’d put it on FB marketplace for $600 and try to sell it for 5 if they offer it.
Thats thats a good idea
500 would be a sane price but after the bitcoin gold rush people weirdly get near new value on used pcs.
I blame the schools.
Are they really selling for near new prices because of bitcoin mining?
If true, I’d post for $1000 at least
And sell at $800
In all honesty, the graphic card alone could sell for $150-$250. a 2080 is a decent card for gaming today, and if you didn’t blow her apart mining, them even better.
They’re selling for near new prices cuz that’s how much inflation drove the value of the dollar down kek.
Nah i just got a new pc for 900, and its has
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (8 GB GDDR6X dedicated)
Kingston FURY 32GB DDR5-6000 MT/s XMP RGB Heatsink (2 x 16 GB)
$500-ish to a stranger… less to a friend, free to family.
As with most used PC’s, its worth more parted-out, than as a whole.
Also, the guy who said $1,000+ is smoking big doobies, and your friend who offered $150… that might cover the GPU alone… maybe.
Amazon is selling those graphics cards for anywhere between $250 and $312 used, so yea, I’d ask closer to $1,000USD myself.
Like the other poster said, I’d put it on FB marketplace but for around $800-$1,000

For general use that’s hyper-over-kill. Tell him to get a bargain basement PC from a ‘big box’ store, and try to sell it to a gamer.
It’s about a friend—I would have given it to a friend for free. I don’t understand this attitude toward friends.
Its not because of that anymore people just weird buy computers with gaming pc in their name for more then they are worth
