How much do you tip a mage for food?

For me it depends on how much food costs from a vendor at any given level. So right now 2 silver.

hbu?

Nobody has given me food yet…

well i ask

There’s no “correct” amount to tip a Mage for food.

Just give them whatever amount you want: they will appreciate it.

Depends on the level and how much I have. Totally random passerby mage? No tip. Dungeon / raids? Tip. Questing? Tip. 5-20s.

Kind of the opposite for me. I wouldn’t expect to have to tip a mage in a dungeon/quest run since its in the mage’s best interest that everyone’s topped off anyway (imagine charging a healer for drinks lol). But I’d definitely tip a mage if I pestered him to make me food randomly out in the world. I’m just wasting his time without giving anything in return otherwise.

Makes sense.

Totally situational though, depends on my mood.

Someone gave me 10 silver for 20 bottles. I never expect a tip to begin with. It doesn’t cost me anything to make. It’s really no trouble for me at all.

People are swell.

I usually tip a healthstone.

Not sure its a fair exchange tho. I was probably going to give the mage a healthstone anyway.

I definitely ask for water AND food though. That way I can tap until mana and health are even before drinking and eating. It’s like superdrinking.

You don’t have to tip anything if you don’t want, but it’s always appreciated. I don’t expect anything from anyone.

Hey, if someone stops me in the middle of the road to trade water, I’m all for it.

But if I’m also broke, I can’t help them.

that’s their business, but i get more spergs running up to opening trade with zero courtesy I just /stare at them like they failed kindergarten.

Mage, f*ck the water, give me wine…

As you should…that’s just down right rude and quite assumptive of them to do that to you. lol I’m all for kindness, but if someone comes to me expecting something, and for nothing - nah, go find a vendor.

I make a habit of going every night to the crossroads and give out free food and water to people that want it. i never expect anything in return for it but people are really nice and even defended me when people were getting mad that every couple of minutes i would yell out that i was doing so.

Why would a mage just “give” you food?

Nothing. They can give it to me in dungeons if I’m partied with them. Or not. I don’t care. I can just life tap. I think the typical tip was maybe 10-50 silver back in the day.

Well if I run dungeons, I’d like some food.
