Title. Just curious. I was inspecting some of the top of the ladder on the armory and some are rocking 110-120 corruption before their resistances which would max be around 52 resist right now. (42 from rank 11 and 10 from essence) That would still put them 60-70 corruption.
I stay under the eye threshold unless I have corruption pieces that are worth going over it for (I don’t-on any character). If I did I still would never feel ok going over that into the thing from beyond territory. Maybe on certain classes with good cc options and mobility it would be ok though.
0-19 I feel is the safest place to remain as a low mobility class or healer, it keeps you safe from thing from beyond range in case the enemy is running Gladiator’s Spite trinkets.
20-39 seems acceptable for classes with high mobility and good CC / peels.
I go for max corruption and just spawn 271 tentacles then bubble immune all the negative effects while I win in those 10 seconds
I also run 300 corruption so people can just sit back and watch me fight myself in mid.
“bro warlocks are so broken they just fight themselves”

They could be logging out in their wq or raid set. I rocked 60+ corruption during mythic wrathion. It’s way more manageable when you aren’t cc’d but you could still die if multiple things from beyond proc.
I have taken a holy vow of no corruption.
Please be strong and resist the temptations offered by Blizzard N’Zoth…
I’ve always stayed under 40, net. I can’t justify, in a pvp setting, ever letting the thing from beyond come. That thing hits for like 100k+ easily. I get wary of the eyes when they spawn during a rogues cc chain on me enough as it is but the benefits outweigh the eye’s pits. I can just imagine an UH dk coming at you, cds popped and all hell breaking loose. They spawn so much stuff as it is, the last thing I need are “things” mixed in while I’m perma ice chained.
In pve things are far different.
It saddens me that all these words above me are in pvp arena thread.
