The opening in-game cutscene will start with your Character in your Player House, wearing your Class Pajamas, sitting on your couch watching Trial of Style, when suddenly the lights go out.
You look at the window and for a split second there’s a pair of purple feet floating outside. Then there’s a sudden clap of thunder and the feet disappear.
You start to panic and look for a candle in the kitchen. Then you fight a dozen Kobolds for the candle. You light it, and then you look at the clock:
It’s Midnight!
Title drop!
Then Xal’atath jumpscares you and kicks you in the face like Bruce Lee.
You faint. When you wake up, Gameplay starts.

It usually starts with the clock striking 11:59 and then turning over in 60 seconds.

And there’s a Worgen digging up your yard, devaluing your property with every hole dug.

And it’ll be one of those slo-moncinematic kicks so everyone can admire Xal’s bare feet as they slowly make impact with your jaw. Then the scene returns to normal as you go flying across the room.

There was a blink-and-you-miss it moment during one of the cinematic montages on the stream that was a scene I didn’t recognize. It might just be something I’d missed from not having done the recent raids, but if it really was new it might hint at a dark ending to this expansion.

I was playing a goofy anime game recently and your character gets knocked out and the next frame is that godamn cart and I absolutely lost my mind. Even Japan knows lol

This will happen because Beledar will rip through Khaz Algar. When it reaches the surface it will go dark and black out the sun across Azeroth…
Nothing will be said about the subsequent flooding of Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, and Ahz-Kahet from the incident. Everyone down there will die.
