just one…idk how people do multiple characters I tried it once and I got really confused
Good luck playing one.
Depends on the content, I always run my alliance main through everything first, but once I get to the time gating stuff where I’m “done” for the day, I’ll hop onto my horde server and do the same with my main horde.
I’ve been running alts through covenant stuff to get all of the transmogs and then level whatever other alts I have. Aside from grinding alts for the covenant transmogs, I don’t really do much else like grinding them to 80 renown or korthia or anything. I also don’t do raids and rarely dungeons, so I just chill and play who I feel like. I’m sure the rest of the week it will be all of my main/s though, unless I get stopped somewhere.
- After CE and anything else relevant I give alts a whirl.
Going to be playing both my Shammy and Bear initially. If the patch is as alt-friendly as it seems, I’ll probably play my Prot Warrior as well.
I try to focus on only one toon but that never works out
This time around i’ll be doing weekly chores and capping conquest vaults on horde pally and alliance pally, and if i have the time during the week i’ll do my disc
But priority is definitely both pallies getting their tier sets. Disc can probably wait for the craftable tier like 3 months in or whenever
I wish cross faction was this patch so i could do only one of the pallies, but unfortunately i need to maintain one on each side until 9.2.5
One. I get it to near max level strength before I start another one. I can’t gradually play multiple toons because the idea of having to do daily chores or miss out on potential power is extremely unappealing to me. I like being able to near-max a character and then put that toon on the shelf while I build up another one.
I started SL a few weeks before 9.15 dropped and I have 3 ~247 ilvl toons: Mage, Druid, and Shaman. The weird thing for me is that the hardest part about making an alt is overcoming the inertia. I always think about it for a while and debate in my head how much I want to go through all the content again.
I have 20 at max level but I am not chasing gear this expansion, just doing mission tables, selling everything for gold and collecting mounts/pets.
When I’ve been raiding Mythic, exclusively one character. Everything else is an alt to my main.
When I’m not? Typically maintaining 2-3 characters, if not for professions then for the ability to not get bored by swapping classes when pugging.
One, maybe a second one, but I focus on my main first. As my main and secondary toon cap off I start working on others. This expansion I’m focused on four toons out of like, 16 or 17.
Just one, I level alts when the content skips get unlocked assuming they ever do. I like to at least wait for the best conditions to level alts, and I eventually need to do it because I like doing all the various professions. In addition, having several characters is great so you can stay on top of the meta.
One.
Thanks BFA / SLs…youve ruined alts for me.
Generally the plan is to level all my characters to max, then don’t do current content and go back to legacy content
Have four planned but might just be two depending on how I feel about the patch.
I typically just play one. Piddy here.
It likely won’t last. I expect that finishing off the one off stuff and then capping the dailies will only take a week or so. Once the dailies are capped, I can start rolling in the rest of the herd.
My rogue always has my primary focus and is always played first. I’ll normally pick a healer as the second whether that be my priest or druid. Normally though it is the druid because they can pick herbs in travel form. All others are simply supplements to my main, I never worry about their gearing… I level them because of their professions primarily. If I have time for them I play them… If i don’t have time, I don’t… RL > Game
The main purpose of this toon, is lead… a hybred off tank prot pally, human for the rep gain.
I didn’t ptr, so I can’t define how long before I chase with alts… typically I’ll stay main for as long as it’s productive, meaning I’ve caught the time gates.
Obvious, I’d like the pally to get us airborne, before I play alts, but again, productive main is the idea, time gating is the reality.
1-2 depending how grindy it is. Like 9.0, I had 2 right off the bat and a 3rd I started soon after. Before 9.1, I had 4 or 5 (1 per cov but stopped playing my Horde toon).
Before 9.1.5, I had 6 or 7 and all had renown 80 and fully built sanctums and such and all got at least a weekly +15 in. End of 9.1.5, all toons I do mythic+ with all have all 4 covs fully leveled to 80 and such
For 9.2, I’ll likely just go back to 1-2. Game just isn’t fun and until I get all the stuff done for 9.2 to have flying and stuff, I see no reason to work hard at it…especially since, as usual, raiders are being coddled and will have access to their tier sets way earlier than mythic+ players.
I usually just play my main. I play a lot of other games too so I don’t have time to maintain 34298674 alts. I prefer just maintaining my main. If it is an expansion where both factions have a different story like in BfA, then I will usually keep a Horde alt up-to-date by just doing the questlines so I can see both sides of the stories.
I do level about 3 or so alts though per expansion to just max level and maybe once in awhile do some WQs and World Bosses for gear but if I do, I spend very minimal time on them.
One, just don’t have the time or energy anymore to deal with more. Blizz has made this game too painful for more.
