Ok I’ll play your game. Lets look at the "facts’. According to your fan made site Data-Azeroth it shows that Blood elf, Night elf, and human are top three… Ok makes sense…
But as you go down the list you see that Orc is higher than Void elf… Well wait a minute according to your Facts void elf should be higher… Lets go deeper. Orc also beats Nightborn and Kul’Tiran… In fact it looks Orc actually beats out all the other races under it. So according to your undisputed fact…
Is actually not true. This is according to your own link and information you declared as credible.
well… yes, the fuzzy elf was technically asked for, because it was an obvious opportunity and they have a cool bat form for Druids.
But, that was like, being at the story and asking for the candy that was near the check out counter.
when for the past year(s) “we” have been asking for the special cereal with the colorful cartoon characters on it with marshmallows.
they cost the same in this scenario, just one requires walking down an isle and the other just requires not removing it from the conveyer belt as the Cashier reaches to ring it up before you can decline the request.
Ok so don’t make them tiny? Tauren are not tiny you could make them slightly bigger than them. If the rig doesn’t fit the armor then roll up the sleeves and make it work. This is a video game it can be coded if time and effort is put into it. When your modifying anything sometimes things won’t fit thats why its called modifying because you are altering the originalproduct. Nothing should be problematic when you’re enhancing the quality of the game. Especially for a multi million dollar company.
Great! So you’ll understand that my argument isn’t about one particular game and is in fact a representation that is well documented as part of psychology and part of human evolution of why we recognize faces so well? Which is part of the whole aspect of why “things that look similar to us” has been such a long-standing beauty standard for essentially all of human history?
And that all of this map onto game design and fantasy races really well?
Apparently not. Hope you have a good day though, but this is getting ridiculous in how much you refuse to engage with what I’m actually saying.
Firstly, the Harronir aren’t “another Elf” they’re more a refined/advanced Troll. And secondly, there were a lot of players wanting to play Harronir.
Also, I’m not sure where you got your list from, but other than the Sethrak and the Ethereals, none of those races are really anything to get upset about not having.
I literally used the Data you provided me to disprove your opinion that you claim is fact. You cannot say I refused to engage with what you are saying when I literally quoted your own words. See what happened was you didn’t like that your facts were used against you. As I always say you can disengage whenever you want to. It was a pleasure debating you and I accept your defeat. Enjoy your day as well.
you know how much effort they’d have to put into creating something unique and unlike anything we’ve had? Like think about it…creating Dryad/centaur/keeper race, or a quadriped…or Ogres, coming up with the concept of female ogres
it’s laziness, and lack of creativity at blizzard hq. that’s why we will never get anything innovative or they wont’ ever challenge themselves. it’s gotta be safe
Which is it? seems like your all over the place. But I’ll answer both for you anyways.
They certainly are not putting that much work into it… Or anything for that matter as far as customization for characters are concerned. They can make these races they are choosing not to.
As for the budget… This is Blizzard buddy… Come on they got the loot. As for limited time… They make the release dates. They control everything about the product. That’s part of the problem we keep getting everything at lightning speed. Races are chosen by a whats going on now mentality with no consideration of what players want to play. Yes I agree the Haranir will be more popular than Earthen. Maybe for a short while they may even be up the list a bit. But once this story is over they are going to feel clunky and weird because they are no longer relevant. You know what would be relevant? A mercenary Ogre going to the next adventure. So you can defend the Haranir all day. But they are just a passing trend and they are barely that.
Polling agencies like Gallup and Harris never use internet forums to collect data because they are far too biased and tend to develop “echo chambers” of people piling on a topic.
As for how they pick their characters, look at the story they are about to tell. Things like Orgs and Tinkers wouldn’t fit in. The group they picked has already been introduced in the trilogy.
