How many subs does WoW have?

I think wow has 10 million subscribers. What about you?

Enough to keep it going and keep making expansions with servers still being active.

  1. It’s 44. No more no less.

At least one for every player.

A lot - extra cheesy beef, tuna surprise, BLT and more. Have you seen how many ways there are to slap meat and veg on a roll?

And there is my favorite: the cookie sub!

Well I can definitely speak for myself. So that’s at least 1. So 1 subscriber for sure. The rest requires some voodoo and speculation.

NA/Europe servers are probably 1-2 million

Chinese servers probably 10 million

South America is probably 500k-1 million.

Gold Farmers?

Those BG queues starting to hurt

1, but we’re not supposed to talk about it because it’s why Diablo 4 got delayed.

No need to think, there is 4.1 million 120’s in the US, 4.8 million 120’s in the EU

Me personally I have 5 120’s, most players have a couple at least.

So between the EU and US I’d say that WOW has approximately 3 million active subscriptions, add the Asian numbers which probably equal EU and US and that would be about 6 million active subs globally. This is a best case guess BTW, as Blizzard no longer reports active subscription numbers in wow, ever since the mass migration of WoD, which dropped the official numbers below 3 million before they stopped reporting them. The only way we can guess is to use sites that scan player data. Since it’s super easy now to get to 120, and multiple other factors, it’s safe to guess a significant portion of the community plays multiple characters at max level. Also while Blizzard did report the Numbers Asian servers always had equaled the rest of the world as far as active subs.

Now I could be wrong, because if the average player has 6 or more 120’s than that would mean WoW’s global sub rate is actually under 4 million.

Not enough subscribers for them to want to tell players how many subscribers they have that’s for sure at the least.

Everyone knows that all WoW population consists of bots, chinese gold farmers and Blizzard employees.

I think WoW has ~6 million total subscribers.

4 million playing Classic.
2 million playing Retail.

Zero, we’re all a bunch of AI simulations.

Prior to Classic launch I estimate WoW had around 3.25 million subscribers. This number is arrived at by examining Google search trends.

Warlords of Draenor peaked at around 10.5 million subscribers, so I take it’s launch search traffic to be indicative of 10.5 million subs. Within six months WoD was down to 5.5 million, a loss of around 50%.

BFA’s search interest peak is 49 compared to WoD’s 76. This means BFA’s peak search traffic is roughly 64% of WoD’s, and thus I estimate that BFA’s peak subs were roughly 6.5 million. Assuming a loss of 50% (consistent with WoD) then BFA should be around 3.25 million subs six months into it’s life. Data past this point is impossible to predict due to lack of historical data points to compare to.

Post Classic launch I cannot reasonably say how many subs Blizzard has gained.
