Shadowform puts an interesting coloring effect on Dracthyr form though. I made one, having glide, even as nerfed, is very nice.

I’m holding out. My priest’s been a Pandaren since I started playing. Especially with Pandaren (likely) being next on the menu for heritage quests, I don’t want to change that or lose the rep from the Pandaren starting zone.
… Buuuut, I’ll probably gear up a Dracthyr alt for when I finally break.
I recently rerolled a new disc priest/dracthyr. ( last time I played was early Legion )
Dracthyr race kinda feels really good on priest tbh. I haven mained a priest since Legion and I kinda hated how it felt back then movement wise but this is really nice, like much better than I expected it to feel playing priest again.
There are so many knockbacks that the dracthyr glide makes them a non issue. It’s slightly faster than walking normally too I think. The mastery racial buff and knockback are the cherry on top of it all. Whatever knockback/pull glide cant cheese uppies usually can. The movement boost from PW:shield/penance casts help too.
Personally I think they should add the dracthyr glide mechanic to the priest class baseline because thematically it kinda fits perfectly. It’s like a modern/better levitate and I love seeing my Dracthyr in Visage form gliding around.
Only things I would add at this point:
Make base feathers stronger, like 70-80 percent movement speed buff, even if they dropped us down to 2 charges. ( keep the oracle tree buffs to it though, I am loving those :3 )
Levitate should remove roots every 45-60s when used on ourselves. At the very least I hope they at least keep designing root mechanics like the AraKara roots where you can fear/cc them off, or like CoT where the group can kill them, or allow us to dispel.
In any case the Dracthyr Racial movement bonuses are significantly contributing to my enjoyment in playing a priest right now. They slightly help alleviate a huge issue that turned me off the class originally when M+ was added to the game.

This and I also like the look of dropping in and out of visage form. It’s what shadowform should be. An instant drop in and out of when in combat
I am worgen on my priest and I love this for the same reason. I know exactly when I can drink if needed or Rez.
My priest will probably always be worgen as I am sentimental. My kids picked worgen so momma stays worgen.
My evoker healer is fun for the same reason. I love shifting looks when in combat and out of combat as a healer.

been having tons of fun as drac, but i am always wanting to go back to undead…started as undead many many years ago.
I just can’t give up the mobility. Being able to literally ignore queen ansurek as a drac for phase 2 is just amazing. The knock back has been crucial in PvP and PvE. It’s hard to give up.
Hardest part is the transmog too…Blood elf and Human female have great models for Transmog…undead less so.
Between a rock and a hard place lol.

yes! one of the reasons i went. Transmog and the abilities. Very nice
