Did a paladin need for just healing 5 mans?
Wonder if a ret with just enough points in Holy and some intellect gear could heal the Dungeons all the way to 60. Of course respeccing at 60 for PvP healing.

Zero, if the group is good enough.
You’d level as Ret and just slap on cloth gear with +int to heal in dungeons until raids.
Always the possibility of a few pugs along the way.
It’s a simplified response, but “if the group is good enough…” is correct. There’s a huge difference healing a crew of skilled players versus a bunch of paste-swilling morons. If you’re running with friends/guildies/experienced players, you’re probably good just doing patchover heals.
You don’t really need any points in any healing tree on any of the healing classes to heal dungeons 1-59. If you have some int gear just so you don’t run out of mana, that is sufficient.
This isn’t a new game. There are plenty of pally talent builds out there to look over.
31-0-20 is a good build to use …leveling and dungeon healing.
I’ve decided that I’m not doing a repeat of what I already did in classic. I did get a paladin to 47 before going rogue. Thinking of embracing the Light for the long haul this time.
Healing a PuG without that pushback talent doesn’t sound fun.
Seems like you don’t need any like others said - just some int gear.
If you plan to do tons of dungeons i guess you could put like 13 points into holy. Divine int, spiritual focus and healing light.
Gear is going to be more important than talents for levelling. Even at max level, there’s not a lot that’s absolutely required for healing.
We did 5 mans with my ret pally friend healing and me tanking arms 0 issues. I believe he didnt have more than 15
