How many people have already been turned away?

Blizzard, you may have already missed your chance. Do you know how many people may have tried to log in yesterday, perhaps people that have not played for years or even new customers, but were unable to get into the game and may have already given it up?

I’m betting a lot. Yet blizzard still seems obsessed about what might happen for the few people who could possibly remain in 6 weeks to the detriment of the horde of people wanting to play now.

Why give up on millions of customers now to possibly appease a hundred thousand later? It seems to be the best plan would be to create the best experience now in an attempt to retain players and capitalize on their excitement.

I just don’t get it.

What do you want them to do? They’re opening new servers. You not wanting to roll on their new servers is a you problem, not a Blizzard problem.

I dont envy Blizzard’s situation. I agree with you that there are probably people who gave up the idea of playing classic entirely because of the queue last night but as a software dev I also understand that its not practical to roll out a ton of servers for most likely will be a brief spike in the number of players playing classic. There are too many what ifs right now for anyone to say that their answer is “100% the best solution”. Its possible that they’re wrong and they wait to open more servers and they get screwed because of missed opportunity, or worse, they open a lot of servers, people play and then abandon in droves and leave a bunch of servers with a barely functioning population and WE get screwed. With those two options, id rather blizzard take a hit and take the better chance of healthy servers.

That is a bit understated. You cannot blame people for rolling on realms they wanted, investing the time and energy to get the names they want for the faction they want and even some who have made some serious progress and time investment and expect them to just throw that all away.

They could easily scale up the servers but they refuse to do so. They could easily have added far more servers during name selection yet they refused to do so. All of this is on them and them alone.

why bother responding if your just going to be a dick!

i’m curious , i genuinely want to know

I dig it. I waited in a 4 hour queue last night on Grobbulus, got on and played for about 5 minutes, and then my power went out from a storm. When it came back up about 10 minutes later, I was looking at a 11k queue.

I didn’t complain, I didn’t blame Blizzard. Sucks I didn’t get to play last night, but this’ll all just work itself out. The crying about queues is honestly rather childish. Personally, I’m happy to see so many people bumrushing our game!

People really dont understand how addicting classic world of warcraft is.

Classic WoW is perfect, you experience every last inch of the world exactly how you should with none of it being left behind.

Your walking around by foot until your level forty, this in it self increases game play dramatically, you really feel like your in the world of warcraft.

After they put flying in the game you just flew over all the content ignoring it.

all this people crying… this world is so doom

“Haha, it’s okay that I don’t get my money’s worth! People who hate wasting their money are babies.”

Regardless of your mockery, you seriously have an amazing name. I’m amazed you’re not a dwarf!

Yeah, but if it’s that addicting-- You should try to reroll first onto a low populated realm.

Problem is-- Players want what they want and are refusing to take the option available.
