I bet I’m one of their worst whales if I qualify for whale status. I bought the base expansion because I refuse to pay for a headstart.
Which one did you buy? Lets compare our whale status.

I remember the days where you’d go into a store to find a game.
These days, you go into a game, to find a store.
I very much dislike what it’s become.
Pay? Nah no thanks, I pay monthly already.
If they made custom animations, spell themes, etc. that are earned through gameplay like the artifact variants in Legion?
Yeah, I would love that.
You can thank ideas like this one for that result. You’re welcome.
Despite the fact I know saying this may get me trolled or flamed or what have you…I’m going to say it… at this point I’d pay for something like them adding more cosmetic options for worgen to the store, like an optional tail and straight posture…their human form doing a waltz instead of stormwind human’s dance. I’m just sick of the waiting… I’d also love the option for being able to change the pattern color on vulpera separate from our fur and for more color options for the patterns as I’d love to play a white furred vulpera with blue markings, the kinda colors you can get with female tauren from their old DK color of white fur blue mane I want for vulpera
Please stop asking for things to be added to the shop. Stop it. You’re actively trying to make the game worse.
Guild wars 2 puts new cosmetic stuff in the shop all the time… how would WoW doing that make things worse? Long as it’s not player power I don’t see the harm anymore, only way for us to get cosmetics we want is to give wow devs the only thing they desire…money
The greater the weight of monetization in this game from the shop vs subscriptions, the more the company is going to shift its focus to what makes it money.
Why try real hard making captivating new content if a large segment of your population will just throw money at dumb stuff in the shop?
It sends the wrong message.
If you want something to be improved or you want something added in the game, maybe don’t say “put it in the shop I’ll pay for it” at the very start.
Even if I didn’t fundamentally disagree with the concept, maybe use a little common sense?
Purely cosmetic emote/animations? Possibly. Long as they aren’t too expensive like FFXIV has on their shop.
This is happening whether we want it or not. At least by suggesting something, we can somewhat guide whats added.
The main reason to try hard making captivating new content is because cash shop items won’t keep the players around. These are minor things that overall have zero affect on whats already coming, which is paid advantages that have real affects in game.
People over here acting like it isn’t coming when you can already buy a 3 day headstart to game access.
Oh? So you sent the right message and bought the base edition, right? You didn’t buy the Legendary edition for the three day head start, right? You know, cause we need to send the right message about not supporting Blizzard selling actual advantages in the game.
Two reasons I put it in. The first was for community engagement because a suggestion that isn’t polarizing doesn’t tend to get much involvement. The other reason being that everything added to the game typically needs a signoff from some higher project manager. Don’t have a way to show it would increase profits? It will be added to the absolute bottom of the list, if at all.
What version of the next expansion did you buy? If you paid for the legendary expansion with the paid advantage added into it, you should probably take your own advice here because you’re directly saying “Hey, I’ll pay for advantages in game” with your wallet. Where as my suggestions is essentially paid cosmetics which have zero effect on the overall game.
And for the record, I bought the base expansion of the game. I refuse to support actual advantages being sold.
How about you not be utterly rude and accuse someone of not using common sense without their side of the story? It wasn’t just “At the Start” I’ve been asking Blizz here in these very forums for years now to give worgen more options, an optional tail and such and they’ve said NOTHING and even crack jokes about it. This idea is not something new I just came up with I’m just sick and tired of the dev team being so spiteful and rude and ignoring player requests without even some context as to why that is yet they go and spoil you darn humans and the elves like it’s going out of style. How about you show some dang manners next time thanks instead of accusing someone of not having common sense or using such? It’s not game breaking in the slightest…all I want is for the worgen model to seem balanced with a tail like all the other beast races and it’s super easy for Blizz to do they just need to add a model to the bones already there in the model. I’m just so sick of wasting years asking and pleading for this that I’d happily throw money at them to make it happen. I’d be annoyed that’s what it took but still I’d do so as would many other players who also want it. It’s something small and minor and the content of the game is not outweighed by it but yet I guess I don’t got common sense to ask for something to make the race I play seem less oppressed than they truly are
The ONLY and I mean O N L Y one I would not rage about would be additional /dance animations.
They need to add left handedness first though. Really Blizzard is it so hard to mirror image models?
I can’t say that I won’t. Can’t really make that determination until it is available.
I will say that I wish they would go back to racial animations. It would allow more classes to be available across all races and be easier to tie things into lore.
We really need to bring down votes back.
There’s a monthly sub fee, so tired of so much in-game shop stuff. Shops are for free to play games, not subscription games. I rather stuff earned in game through questing or otherwise
id never pay for an animation thats silly
FFXIV: Subscription game with a shop
Guild Wars 2: Buy to play game with a shop
Elder Scrolls online: Buy to play game with a shop.
The shop is optional, the shop keeps subscription costs down so they aren’t jacking them up each expansion to keep up with rising tech costs. I know a lot of people don’t like the shops, I’m personally indifferent to them, but unless some of the costs to maintain the game go down I can’t see them chucking out the Shop.
I mean, it’d be an easy way to monetize their roleplayer population, but I’m not convinced that people other than them would pay cash dollars for emotes.
I’d be more likely to rabble that they should be free or cheap on the Trading Post.
If I didn’t pay a monthly subscription I’d probably fork out some money on a FTP game. On a game with a sub, I wouldn’t pay a dime.
I bought the base edition. Aren’t you glad you typed all those words on an incorrect assumption? ![]()
Also, I don’t care enough to respond to all the other remaining points. You’re getting ratio’d hard for a reason. If the OP isn’t trolling, and I’m about 50/50 on whether it is, it’s a laughably awful idea. Have a good one!
