How many of you will actually stop playing retail WoW?

My classic rogue plays largely how it should, what I remember, and what I like. Will i unsub? Probably not. I will log in to set up auctions from time to time.

Do i care about a game that largely caters to the OPINIONS of streamers, M+ racers, and the five people still queing arena? Nope not really.

I have no need to go back to retail it has zero feeling of a MMORPG and just feels like a PS4 game you just log in and play alone and zero challenge unleas you want to only do Mythic stuff … plus transmog has ruined the cool aspect of getting gear and flying mounts you dont see anyone in the open world… just a boring game over all …

Haven’t played retail since a week before Classic released, and i doubt I ever go back.

I’ve been waiting 10 years to play Classic, and I haven’t enjoyed WoW in a long time, but now I do and have no plans to play anything else.

That’s just me tho, other’s thoughts will vary.

I dont have retail installed. I got the itch to play my mag’har warrior and logged in to the wow armory and realized that was enough. i only wanted to see the awesome transmog. didn’t actually want to play

I stopped playing retail when BFA released. I had a blast in Legion and IMO it was one of the best xpacs. But then BfA came in and all the classes feel terrible. I’d love to see the content, I’ve been waiting for the old god story to develop since cata, but when the classes arnt fun, the game isn’t fun, and no amount of story is going to make up for it.

i have not played Live since they nerfed fire mage in legion and made them completely useless in PVP i will not go back to live so long as Blizzard is standardizing my characters stats in battlegrounds according to my Ilvl. Blizz needs to make some serious changes before i even consider putting my money and time into that game again. Full time classic for this guy so much for all those mounts i grinded out and farmed in retail waste of time to go back as far as im concerned. They turned Retail into a snowflakey garbage train.

How about I list the things that I feel Live offers than Classic does not?

• A max level world (level 110 to 120) that is dangerous to level up where you cant cheat as you face mobs of your level. On Vanilla, you level up from 50 to 60 by killing billion level 48 boars or solo farm something 5 levels below you. Although you can face mobs higher level than you becoz Classic has high cap skill ceiling.
• Dungeons that has unlimited difficulty levels… Mythic 0, 2, 3, …, 25+. And if you are new, you can just do what difficulty level that you can do. In Classic, if you are new to its difficulty, guaranteed wipefest. There’s a reason many casual noobs in Vanilla avoid dungeons becoz of their shocking experience on their first dungeon run.
• Ability to create multiple toons that can max up multiple professions… allowing you to get all the resources all the player/guild needs.
• Ability to create multiple toons from multiple classes. The raid needs tank, I have a Tank toon. If the raid needs heals, I have a Healer toon. In Vanilla, creating more than 1 toon is way way way harder. With multiple toons, I wont need to go over studying each of 51 talent points. I will just copy what’s the common one. I just need simplified talents like Live WoW and my alt toon is ready to go.
• A progression that allows a casual to beat end game. Catchup welfare epics are welcomed. Loot gear is everywhere. Unlike on Vanilla, I have to wait for about 2 weeks when my DKP is high to get an epic. Playing for 2 weeks with no epic loots? And your wish loot drops 0.0001% chance and when it drops, you have to win it against 40 people who are in the raid and that Huntards roll on every loot coz all loots are usable to them like 2H swords instead of giving them to Warriors. And the guild leader gave the legendary to himself becoz he feels he deserves it. On Live, I dont need to commit to a raiding guild so I could avoid those dramas. I can beat Mythic raiding thru dungeon finder. All those raid on Dungeon Finder that says “AoTC only, underperformers would be kicked”. Those elitist group could beat Mythic raiding. Live is raining with welfare epics and most of them are garbage. Live is the same as Classic as you get upgraded gear every 2 weeks when on end game. But on Live, you have to sort out which epic is an upgrade for you from the bunch of Garbage Welfare Epic Loots.
• A game that has improved mechanics.

Classic would need farming 2 to 3 hours before raid. Warlocks need soulshards. Hunters has to fill up his bags with expensive ammos, mana potions and pet food. With Live, I can even skip farming… buy that WoW token that is cheap and legit and any of my multiple toons are ready for raid.

Live’s Quests are easy to navigate. On Classic, you would keep on minimizing your WoW, open Thottbot to find where that f ucking Boars from my quest. You know Live shows me where those quest items from my map.

Live has no Frustrations on getting quest items. On Classic, when someone tag’d a mob, its loots is his. Imagine 15 people on that same area tagging mobs. Then after a few, 15 more people came to join on tagging mobs. You would realize that you only got 1 after spending 15 min coz the area is congested with people and you need 20 tag’d mobs to complete your quest. On Live, tagging is not an issue.

On Live, I choose whichever dungeon I want to do and I can go there right away in few minutes. On Classic, I cant. I need someone who has KEYS. I need to yell on IF and SW to form my group. And if I am in the middle of the dungeon someone left, I have to port out to IF and SW again to get replacement and run back to the dungeon.

On Live, dungeons are casual friendly. Casual means I have less playing time. I want dungeons doable on a short time. I can do Mythic+10 in 40 minutes. In Classic, dungeon completion is over an hour. And mobs has short respawn timer. When you have some wipes and you wiped again on the last boss, when you go back to the entrance, you could see trash mobs respawns. You have to clear them again.

And when you are done in Classic, what’s next? Request for TBC Classic, WoTLK Classic. And after 15 years, request for BFA classic? LOL.

Its starts with utter nonsense about world questing in live WoW being dangerous and exciting. Any fool that believes this will quickly learn its not true within a half hour of logging into live WoW. M+ is a good point in live’s favor. The rest is rambling noise.

You are talking about leveling. I agree the leveling is snoozefest. I am referring to level 110 to 120 leveling quests… its not as easy as you think. You didnt know becoz you never did it.

Level 110 to 120 is short anyway. At 120 max level, World Quests open and it starts the rep grind. At 60 max level in Classic, theres no World Quest… theres nothing to do other than wait for phase 2. And you think Classic’s rep farming is fun? Timbermaw rep? Cenarion Circles rep? Those are snoozefest rep grinds. I rather have World Quests and Emissaries where i select which i want to do. Theres a reason why i am still leveling in Classic enjoying all its quests and dungeons appropriate to its level becoz i know at max level, theres nothing much to do. Thousand runs to same difficulty dungeons? No thanks. I will just switch to BFA and do M+10.

Truth hurts, right? Nothing much to do at max level in Classic. Rep farming? Good luck. I was a Vanilla Naxx40 veteran. I hate rep grinds then and i still hate it up to now. Rep grinds in BFA is mild. You dont know it becoz you never played it.

Stopped playing when 8.2 came out, screw blizz and the incessant rep grinds to earn flying.
Grind six reps in 8.1, oh here, 8.2… grind two more reps! Even though you’ve earned flight 5 times already, do it again!
I’m just done, design zones for flight or just get rid of it already.
