I have so many mounts and mount achievements that I no longer care! Hey, look! There’s a cute kitten mount. That one got old quick. The Classic mounts were just fine but that went to pot in Cata with the Aspect of the Dragon mount. Looked really cool but the way it moved gave you motion sickness! I have mounts I never use. Best thing that ever happened is when you could make all your mounts walk on water. Thank you for that Blizz! So sick of the Grand Expedition mount and Darkmoon Faire underwater mount. Every achievement mount is more hideous than the Slime Cat or Flying Moose mount. It’s so bad Blizzard made anniversary gryphon and wyvern mount with no color. How bad is that for mounts? The dragon mounts in DF look far worse than TBC drakes! Is a Dracthyr gonna ride one of those? Sheesh!
I can’t ride any of mounts that sway or go up and down or side to side or flip in the air…just makes my stomach go arghhh…and I truly hate noisy mounts too…the flying ones with wings that make that obnoxious flapping noise…before I got my Love rocket I used the Headless horsemen mount cause it was quiet and small framed…I did use the flying mouse for quite a bit too cause it was quiet but since getting the Love rocket that is my main flying mount now.
These are my two main considerations also, which is why i use my Magic Rooster while on the ground and my Ghastly Charger in the air, they’re both very small, quiet, and don’t obstruct my view in any way.
Also, the Magic Rooster is the coolest mount in the game 
I agree wholeheartedly on the Magic Rooster Egg…I have it and use it when grounded …had mine since WoD…too bad it can’t fly lol.
They should make is so that it at least glides, we should be able to jump off of high places and glide down safely, there are a heap of mounts that fly when having absolutely no place in the air, seems unfair to deny the rooster!
For real…we have hogs that can fly…mice that can fly…horses that can fly…but a rooster can’t glide…like they do in real life…

Jst got the 250 mount so that was an easy way to check(I was actually kind suprised because the achievement just popped up and then realized I just logged on my paladin, slime kitty was number 250 apperently)
I started playing WoW “full time” at SL launch. I dabbled during classic 04-05, and like one or two weeks during legion to try out Demon hunters. So in two years roughly I’ve accumulated 497 mounts, my goal is 500 mounts / 20k ach points before dragon flight. I’ll definitely hit that goal as there are probably 5-10 mounts I can still buy off merchants.
Also I have 0 shop mounts (minus the one you get from heroic shadowlands edition)

345 according to the mount collection achievement. I am missing a ton of easy mounts, but I don’t really chase any at all. The last mount I actively farmed was Ashes which I got back in 2013. No drive to collect mounts in this game I guess. Although I should probably do at least 5 of the really easy ones and grab the 350 mount achievement.
2, because that’s all I use, the rest are worthless.

I bet Blizzard doesn’t check simple armory before granting you a mount achievement award. Why should we? Why can’t they just add this number in the game? It really couldn’t be all that hard to do. They’d probably eliminate a lot of user tickets in the process.

518 mounts account wide but for the 500 mount achievement, I’m 17 mounts away.
370 usable by a single character. Slowly but surely climbing the 400 mount achievement hill. There are a ton of Shadowlands mounts I want, but that requires playing that god-awful expansion, so I might wait until flying is auto-unlocked there to start farming those. It’ll likely be a good while before I get the spectral otter mount 
Around 440 usable on a single toon, prolly somewhere in the 500s total.
