How many hours do m+ players play per week per toon? mythic raiders?

m+ as a tank/healer 8.5-17+ hours weekly (+100% for each alt; 2 toons = playing WoW like a part-time job)

  • 8-16+ hrs max weekly vault cap (+50%-200% que wait for dps specs)
  • .5-1 hr gold farming/other stuff (may be longer for farming gear that doesn’t drop)
  • accounts for failed runs at +20 keys which happen a lot with pugs
  • didn’t account for travel/summoning time (adds up a lot)
  • didn’t account for leavers at +20 keys which happens a lot too
  • didn’t account for no loot timed keys to get the gear needed to be invited for +20 keys
    • you cant just randomly get into a +20 key, you have to grind many keys to get that baseline gear
  • didn’t account for the countless runs to get the crests for each alt
  • didn’t account for the shadowflame farming

mythic raiders 18.5-32+hrs weekly (+100% for each alt; 2 toons = playing WoW like a full-time job)

  • 8-12+ hrs mythic raiding
  • 2-3+ hrs heroic catchup gear
  • 8-16+ hrs max weekly vault cap m+ (+50-200% for dps specs)
  • .5-1 hr gold farming/other stuff (may be longer for farming gear that doesn’t drop)

pvp as a healer 4-7 hours a week (+100% for each alt; +5 toons is a part-time job; +200%-300% for dps specs)

  • 3-4 hrs max weekly vault cap
  • .5-1hr trophy gear (for 1-2 months)
  • .5-1hr gold farming/other stuff

if you have different calculations then please share your math. how the heck is this expansion with 13 classes/39 specs alt-friendly when one main+alt for pve is almost a part-time/full-time job??

  • impossible for pvpers to crossover into pve with alts

They have too much free time yes , but trying to raise the concerns for alts through how many hours these players play would derail your topic away from alts . :stuck_out_tongue:

how does showing the time wasted not be a reason to make it easier for alts… what?

show me your math troll. you troll on a lot of posts lol

Because your sample size is small and it would trigger some players

My guy, I’ve said this before on your other posts, you don’t have to/don’t need to max out all your alts. As a fellow altoholic, some alts are just there to look pretty.

disagree, you should be able to max alts in a game that you paid for. the main grind should be almost the same while the alt grind should be easier. this is retail not wow classic

Have you played WoW classic? It’s SO much harder to get a main geared, let alone an alt. It’s a cakewalk here on retail.

What? :dracthyr_a1: I’m just trying to figure how one spends 20 hours a week doing keys unless they’re pushing r1. If you mean the vault then remember that just because there’s a bar it doesn’t mean you have to fill it. Also 8 keys doesn’t even take that long.

Where did you get your data?

as a healer/tank .66-1 hr (+100% if you failed to time dungeon; +50-200% as dps spec)

  • 30-40m timing a dungeon +1 (dont remember my times last season, so many noobs i had to carry)
  • 10-20m queing, prepping, break time before the dungeon starts
  • doesn’t account for leavers

it would look weird seeing .66 in my calculation so just rounded up to 1

post your data, would love to see data from others

we’re paying a monthly sub for a game with 13 classes/38 specs and you think it’s okay to not make it easier to max an alt on retail (this isn’t wow classic)

maxing one main is already a job. you can easily play at a competitive level on other games without much time that doesn’t require a monthly sub. this is just insanity

Homies for real think that alt friendly means you can put in less work for an alt and have it be on the same level as main.

Alt friendly means you can get into content with very little requirements. And it’s true. Doing keys on 3 more toons that dinged 70 last week with no issues.

You feel the compulsion to play like it’s a job. That’s on you.

You max it by playing it. An alt shoul dnot inherently be at the same level as a main without the same effort put in.

so you don’t support catchup mechanics like a typical classic WoW player. got it.

Nice strawman.

There’s significant diminishing returns for alts. Getting an alt to 438-440 is easy and quick. Getting them to 443+ is not. But that’s still plenty to run anything you want.

anyone can say that. post your hours per week to accomplish max gearing for each alt/toon. 440 ilvl is not max, that’s mid-high and not competitive for logs/rankings. if roleplaying or minimal casual is your goal then that’s fine. for competitive gameplay that’s just useless for an alt

why do a lot of you support the same extremely restrictive classic WoW mindest lol. that just makes is a lot harder to fully enjoy the game.
