Because my High elf, like the 90% of High elves who returned to Quel’thalas valued her homeland, and people over her ties with the Alliance. And why would a High elf who reveres the light ever decide to consort with something as evil as the Void? Especially when it threatens their very way life, like the Sunwell.
And the fact that you think a High elf, who did everything in their power to avoid evil magic like the Fel in outland, would somehow be okay with the Void makes so little sense.
I know, I’m a bit stumped as to what he’s confused about myself.
Funny enough, similar to Draenei, the Blood Elves joined the Horde ultimately because the Horde go to them first for assistance. If the Draenei were found by Horde members, they’d probably be Horde. Getting along with the Orcs is a stretch, sure, but so was BEs getting along with Orcs & Trolls as well.
But BEs joining Horde really is that simple, it was a first come first serve. The Undead helped them and the BEs were thankful and ultimately joined them.
In all, I can’t believe folks are debating why the BEs joined the Horde after ~15 years now. Wild.
They have no mountains in the way, they have made so many passes. Or did you forget you can walk all the way to EPL and WPL. No need to climb a mountain. I’m sorry that argument doesnt make sense.
And you responded in a smarmy way(that part I would not neccesarily have minded) but in such a way that seems insulting to transpeople(certain your line of reasoning has been used against transpeople).
She think herself as a high elf as well. The entire point is she doesnt have to just think about herself as a void elf.
I’m not confused about the Blood elfs joining the horde. This is just questions about her RP nothing else which involves an Allianced allied Highelf who was more then likely attacked by the horde in BC joining the horde.
But that’s not necessarily true. She could have been a resident of Dalaran and rejoined her brothers/sisters at any point.
Could even say that she saw old friends during a pilgrimage to the Sunwell and they asked her to come live in Silvermoon. I mean, there’s a lot to play with in terms of a High Elf rejoining the Blood Elves. The only thing I’d debate is if they were refer to themselves as a High Elf instead of a Blood Elf after rejoining the Horde.
That’s not how the High elves and Blood elves see it, or anyone in Azeroth besides the Void elves. You act like the whole world doesn’t see the Void as a threat, like we didn’t just go through an expansion where we had to fight a void god. The Void is considered evil, and was even pursued by the “Great betrayer” of Quel’thalas, and was even called a “dark” path during the unlock scenario.
It’s not that I’m trying to act High and mighty, but this train of thought goes for both sides - If you acknowledge that family doesn’t mean the same to everyone, than there’s no reason for you to find it odd that some might value them more than you.
When the Dark portal reopened, many High elves at Allerian Stronghold never got to make the decision who they wanted to follow, so it’s very likely that many would share those views. (Like the 90% of High elves who withdrew from the Alliance to return to Quel’thalas)
It’s not for them, it’s for her homeland, her people, and culture, if that means having to work with them then that isn’t a problem for her, much like it wasn’t for the Blood elves.
Agreed, sort of like Tauren and Night Elves. Even though the two major factions are consistently at odds with each other doesn’t mean each sub faction hates every sub faction on the other side.
