How many forum posts/comments do you flag per day?

Report an average of 0.12 posts per day.

Me too. It’s a waste of time. People, who think they have power over others’ freedom of speech are usually big detractors themselves. If I want to, I can mobilize 4-10 people, who would a) push every comment from me with likes to stand out and punish people I see fit.

The system is meant to remove harmful postings but the wow community uses it for their own personal, corrupted gains.

I never flag anything. If people say things I find objectionable, I just put them on ignore forever

most of the time few to none.
when someone in here tells me to self harm with a rope, my flags got depleted in a few minutes.

I add people to my ignore list if they pick my post out and try to start an unending argument over opposing opinions… I don’t know that I have ever flagged/reported a post though. I only police my own head space.

I really believe people need to take thigs more easier, i have got some messages erased because people felt offended and i dint do anything really

just a joke or a comment that someone didnt like and then got flagged and erased after, sometimes got restoured but still

like this commnet, there are high chances that someone gonna get offended by it, somehow because i pointed something of them that i think they need to change

Depends on the day. Sometimes 5+, other days 0. I only flag posts I genuinely believe to have broken the guidelines.

It’s pretty rare that I flag someone’s post. I think forum suspensions are less effective at deterring trolls than just not feeding them the attention they’re seeking. But, GD is more than happy to feed, so I guess flagging is the next best thing.

I’ll put it this way, I so rarely flag a post, that if I HAVE flagged it, you most definitely want to rethink what you’ve said.

Its not about being offended it’s about control…The ability to silence someone else is a form of power and people are easily corrupted by the ability to assert influence on others… Combine that with the resulting lack of ability to deal with adversity when necessary and you end up with a very difficult to navigate social environment that many just opt out of… It’s bad for everyone, some don’t have the foresight to see the consequences.

Pretty much this. If you are flagging five to seven every day, you’re likely abusing the report system, and would be ‘part of the problem’.

I usually only flag those that directly insult with a combination of slurs or advocate for IRL harm; such as death threats to someones family members, telling someone to kill themselves or promoting terrorism.

Other than that though, I’d say it depends :person_shrugging:

  • EDIT: Throughout the internet, there’s been a LOT of suicide-promoters @ those who have political differences from them since the election, it’s insane how self-righteous they are.

Fortunately, Blizzard usually seem pretty good at grabbing the truly vile posts though.
However time to time, some slip throught the cracks or take awhile to deal with.

Probably 4-5 times a day.

I almost never flag regular threads unless its something extreme…but I flag our nightly troll topics all the time. And lately, that has bumped my average up, lol.

I don’t really flag much at all. I’m just here to socialize. :dracthyr_comfy_green:

4 to 10 people doing your bidding on the world of warcraft forums. Wow, the pinnacle of power. Take that Che Guevara

Usually none. but occasionally a handful. I tend to just scroll past stuff I don’t like.

I don’t flag posts, but I’m a big proponent of them issuing forum bans for people abusing the flagging system.
