How many copies did Dragonflight sell?

This was a popular link everyone sent when defending SL:

I don’t see Blizzard, WoWhead, or anyone talking about sales numbers for DF.

Did this expansion even sell that many copies? Most people know this is just a way to escape SL’s dropping sub numbers, so the hype was not even there but i’m curious to see how little copies they sold after SL.

That article was dated two weeks after SL released. Maybe give it a little more time before tthey start talking about sales numbers.

More than 1.

Less than 1 billion.

I’m sure you didn’t make this thread with an agenda in mind

The world may never know.

Is there a Achevement that is Account, but not shared between battle.net?

That can be searched for.
Like SL I am one who might buy when it goes on sale.
I have more than enough content with SL and earler.

No numbers to report, and giving away a month of free game time when you buy DF already means only one thing. Karma is catching up to them at long last.

yes op wow is dead we all know it right?

Dragonflight didn’t receive nearly as much hype as SL but it is a far more enjoyable one.

This article is from blizzard. It was released less than one week after the launch of SL lauding their own sales numbers. If DF was selling well they’d have released a similar statement to bolster the sales.

Instead they are not telling you the numbers, while at the same time giving away a month of free game time if you buy DF.

That means people are walking away. And they won’t be back.

That’s fine, if the binding of the book scares people away we don’t need fairweather fans hanging around.

MoP for the most part for alot of people ended up good, scaring people away because of pandas was clever.

Wait for the numbers out of China and India

Why would this matter? Do YOU like the game? Is it fun for you? How many copies sold is irrelevant.

Well it does matter, you can enjoy something alot and then the c-suite can scrap it because it doesn’t bring in enough money to be sustainable. Loads of projects have suffered this issue.

Agreed. We are all just dancing in a video game graveyard.

And we are not in the middle of a pandemic that keeps everyone at home.

Dragonflight will unfortunately be hurt by just how atrocious Shadowlands was, and it’s a shame because I think Dragonflight is the best thing WoW’s done in years.

Big if true.

November 23rd-December 8th is two weeks…I understand your point and I’m not arguing against it. But let’s get the facts right first.

Only a few of my friends have returned and my FL is still pretty vacant. :woman_shrugging:

Yes your friends list is an accurate representation for the hundreds of thousands of people that play wow.

Probably one of the dumbest things to ever be said on this board.
