Im probably going with 3 to start (priest will be playable later)
1 can be disenchanter and mining supply horder
1 can be cloth horder
1 can be herb horder.
Good thing is i plan on having every class to 35 for tailoring/leathworking/alchemy for transmutes which will empty 2 bank alts frequently. However i still imagine ill run out of room quickly.
I never found myself needing more than 1 bank alt. He was my disenchanter and crap storage… and I had quite the hoarding problem too. I did have a number of alts I played, so I guess they doubled as extra storage space.
I remember spending so much time keeping everyone’s banks organized… I guess I was a practical hoarder.
Tricky question because I don’t plan on having an alt I only use for banking. This being said I will probably be keeping a lot of stuff on my alchemy and enchanting alts.
Have they said anything about max toons per server and combined/sister servers, etc.? I know they were much more restrictive in Vanilla and was wondering how large an alt army could be if they kept those restrictions in place.
That’s good to know – also good to know if, in addition to that, they will allow cross-faction alts on the same server (although I think that was only a PvP server limitation, and I don’t think I’ll play much on those, but I might surprise myself).
1 main + 4 alts per faction would be a challenge, I think. Did people use personal guilds as storage back then, or did that sort of thing come later?
As for cross faction, unless I a mistaken, originally players could have characters of both factions on PVE servers, but only one faction PVP servers. That restriction was later lifted.
Total number of characters was still 10 per server, even if a player had characters of both factions on a single server.
