Makes you wonder why they nerfed it so thoroughly throughout the years…
In theory my D1, D2 & D3 purchases, and my WoW purchases up through cata, and my Orcs & Humans purchase went into the development of classic. My purchases of Activision Atari 2600 games went toward classic as well.
Hell, I probably played Pitfall alone longer than the average retail wow player has played BFA.
I love these post for a few reasons.
-
Some people tend to think classic will suddenly bring tons of people back from the wood work those who haven’t played in so long. Tend to forget many quit as time went on because well they moved on and classic isn’t gonna bring them back.
-
some people seem to live in this thought that well you play retail so you cant possibly know vanilla there are a good portion of retail players who have been around since vanilla.
-
The whole retail vs vanilla vs pserver is always fun to watch whose is bigger on that debate.
add a tiny bit of “vanilla” into retail
You mean “back” into retail? Cause… it was Vanilla when Vanilla was Retail.
Were you unsure? In this forum, “retail” means current WoW. I’m sorry if using the common parlance upset your literal sense of definitions.
hey man, how are you doing?

I know that its a long time ago, but do you remember when Retail was just called “World of Warcraft” with no expansions? Its this cool thing that Blizzard is recreating. All the things you’re trying to put “into” Retail once existed there. Thus putting them “back” into Retail.’
Its one of these little nuances of English that non-native speakers might not get.
We don’t want a tiny playerbase only populated by a dying breed of “Private Server’s were better” players.
Indeed. I dont have an active Sub right now, I created this free to play guy just to post here.
I dont even have my old account, I think I lost the fob/token, but I really hope that Classic takes off.
Those people weren’t even ‘retail’ players. The people who got past level 10 are the people you’re currently dismissing.
Do you ever think before you post or are you too busy speed typing to up your post count? LOL.

It doesn’t take much thinking to knock down bad arguments.
You pointed at people who couldn’t get past level 10 in retail, while ignoring the fact that all the people who are playing retail… are not those people.
Your argument made no sense, and attempting to insult me personally doesn’t change that. Just like every other personal attack you attempt day after day. If the point can’t stand on its own, babying it by attacking people doesn’t make it stronger.
LOL they won’t even make it to STV
If they make it to STV on a PVP server, they’ll either run screaming or fall hopelessly in love with classic.
Honestly, it just appears as though you were being intentionally obtuse to attempt to make a point.
Especially considering he put vanilla in quotations.
Agreed. The hypocrisy on display in here astounds.
I’m not really seeing much hostility from retail players towards classic
I literally laughed out loud at this. Not rolling on the floor, but laughing all the same.
retailers will last longer than the 2k folks returning to play classic.
retailers will last longer than the 2k folks returning to play classic.
Your trolling would be much better if you expended at least a minimum amount of effort.
I guess I did…
I wonder how many people will return under current conditions
Considering anyone currently playing BFA basically have most of the files for classic already installed and they can log into classic with no additional effort, i expect they will last quite a long time on classic until the day they stopped playing BFA. When there is any content drought on BFA, i expect a number of them to play on classic a while.
But its okay we know you like to slander classic fans
Not slander if it’s true. Which all of my statements regarding the Classic community have been. My apologies if it hits a little to close to home for you and Broken.
