For the fun of it, how long do you think it will take before we see people being banned for GDKP’s after Phase 2 launches? This is for bans that happen once P2 officially launches.
For me I’m guessing 10 mins into P2.

Are you talking legit bans or false bans that people are going to report? Because the false bans will happen pretty quickly and probably before they even get to Gnomer or 40. A legit GDKP ban? Probably a while since 99% of the community isn’t going to risk it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if someone tried a “work around” BFD run tomorrow as alot of BFD gear will be pre-raid BiS for gnomer, and BFD will give a huge amount of exp on Akumai kill.
Bans aren’t automated. Squelches/silences are if mass reported (which may cause a force log out and unable to use mail/chat for X hours).
I doubt theyd be stupid enough to try it so blatantly. And over old content. A lot of the big gdkpers said they were quitting sod in their discords.

They 100% are automated if enough players report you for something. Like typing something in a public chat channel. I said this in another thread but before the ban was announced a friend was trying to fill his GDKP. People reported his posts for his not against TOS raid. He got a 2 week ban. Took him a week to get it reverted. When he asked for the chat log for the chat abuse it was him posting to fill his raid. Automated. And that is just one example that I know of personally.

I got a threatening email tonight for both of my accounts. I haven’t run GDKP in a week. They’re onto us, that’s for sure.
Hes correct. If enough people spam report you the automated system will kick in. Even joking about it is probably dangerous in public chat channels.

Silence/Squelch is not a ban.
You will get a suspension. We arent talking about a silence. Ive seen it happen to guild mates
People will come here and swear up and down that nothing about account actions like that are automated. They promise. They pose that each serious account action is the result of intense human scrutiny.

Well if they swore in public chat (which is against ToS even if its a simple F bomb which is stupid when there is a profanity filter) ya they can get banned for that. The silence/squelch is automated and if you have 50+ people report you in 2 mins an actual Blizz employee is likely to be looking at the reports and the offending issue soon and if they did drop an F bomb GG thats a ban.
Never said anything about a silence or a squelch mate. They will just ban you. And then review things later. All their systems are automated. They don’t have the manpower for someone to sit there and personally review each report. Ban first then in appeals have them chat with someone. In like 5-10 business days.
After the recent layoffs too.
They didnt swear or anything. Someone who got gkicked mass reported one of our raid tanks so hed get suspended on raid day. The gm confirmed thats what happened. He didnt tell us what happened to the guy who got people to do it. He stupidly started bragging about mass reporting our tank to get him suspended.

And there is nothing that will ever happen to the person that made the false report. We are approaching a time where you can kill someone in world pvp or kill a quest mob someone else wanted and they can have themselves and their friends report you for GDKPing and with how hard a stance blizzard will take early on you better believe false bans will be everywhere post on these forums. It will be interesting.
