How Long to Run from Silvermoon to Booty Bay?

I’m curious to see if anyone has done this before (without the use of mounts), and if so, about how long does it take? I may try this myself later today just to see, but I want to get a good idea of just how big Azeroth really is in-game. I imagine it’s pretty massive.

Well it’s about 15-20 minutes on a flight path. I can only estimate a few hours at least. But you know what? Let’s go test this out.

Silvermoon portal to Booty Bay here I come.

Mind you I am using a rogue so it will be 30% faster, but we can work the maths from there.

flight paths are faster than epic flyers right, but don’t quite go in a STRAIGHT LINE.
I would say 2 hours.

Back in BC, I once took a level 17 Draenei hunter from Bloodmyst Isle to the border of Eversong and Ghostlands to tame a lynx.

That was hilarious and one of the most dangerous things I’ve ever done.

Did you know that you could aggro things in EPL from half the map away? :rofl:

In vanilla I was so excited to see Light’s hope that at level 30 I tried to go see it. I think I agroed everything in the zone as soon as I passed Chillwind Camp.

Takes about 30 minutes to go from Gnomeregan to Booty Bay in the annual Running of the Gnomes holiday. That is as a level 1 gnome.

So maybe 50 minutes to an Hour from Silvermoon. Could be longer if you die a lot.

8.5 minutes as a rogue with Hit and Run following the path from Silvermoon to EPL, I say more around 2 hours if I stick to the path considering I have to pass closer to UC now as there is a mountain in my way.

OMG I did similar with Winterspring! Our server went all wonky and suddenly there were no mobs anywhere in any zone. So I got all excited and ran through Timbermaw to get to Winterspring to see it for the first time. It was so cool!

And then mobs started to appear again. LOL

Use a ground mount then math the difference. no need to suffer.

I took an epic ground mount from Northern Stranglethorn to Stratholme once for one of my YouTube Q&As and that took over half an hour. Can’t imagine what it would be like on foot to run from one end of the continent to the other.

Like the guy above said though, just work the math.

15 minutes on foot with a rogue Silvermoon to start of WPL.

Time to mount it and work the maths.
