Yes, they are. So not worth trying to have a real conversation with because you’ll get nowhere.
They think it is “funny” to pretend to not understand very basic things.

Your kindness is only surpassed by your knowledge of the game.
You, truly, are an example to us all.
I know this is sarcasm but in reality it actually is based and true lol. Mootwo is pretty great.
there is no rational reason to dislike mootwo
The thing I like about them the most is how they are, in no way, hypocritical or bigoted, they truly are an amazing cow.
Well for sod I think at the end of p3 max level is 50 thus, the max rank is 9 at p3. After you hit 60 it will take 5 weeks net. There will be stuff to gain in mc and maybe bwl if they take it slow, but yeah for those who are weapon dependent like enhance, war, rogues, and rets. It might be 5 weeks of av slog.
Which is why I am really hoping they allow rank 11-14 to be grounded during level 50, so people have something to do thats not av. People would still be a bit braindead but it would give something to do. And rank 11 would be silly to have the r11 mount at I think 54.
I would be incredibly shocked if R12-14 gear was available early on in SoD with no changes to the gear.
It would make literally zero sense.
Either hold the gear until a later phase, or tune down the gear / change the gear so its mostly PvP relevant
blizzard has done crazier things
Haha true. I mean… I dont like MC, im very much on record of saying that. Its boring, long, awful… but that doesnt mean it should be mostly invalidated outside of trinkets, rings, and neck pieces nearly immediately.
Who said anything about disliking them?
I’m their #1 fan.
Thanks. Appreciated. <3
I mean it would be a thing my ideal is let them get rank with level limits loosened. But have the weapons be buyable when aq event starts. But mathmatically they might need people to have r14 to model what kind of dps players can output to scale heroic encounters for, that is just a theory and really gaming systems for rng free gear is good and enhance really do not have many options for a slow mace given brd might be a raid and kazzy will be fought over.
Wasnt there old school blue rare PVP weapons that werent ever introduced to the game? I could very well see THOSE being added for say r11 in MC… but holding off on any epic gear until like BWL .5 or something.
I think you mean the tbc blue set which was on par with naxx gear at the time. It was fun once s3 dropped and everyone could get some epics given enhance had a good 1h weapon for the offhand. .5 would be a good one and I think there might be some way like arena to gain ranking points fast added later.
Nahh not that… idk for some reason maybe it was just “intention” was for blue PvP weapons at rank 11.
If they want to build something like that… that would be excellent.
You could probably math this…
I did 3 AVs this week on my Pally to get the spear from the quest. The first two games were Horde sweeps but the third was a fair bit longer and ended in Alliance Victory. For all three games combined I had about 11k honour.
I think the honour caps for each rank is known though so you could play a few games and average the honour, then work out how many games you’d need to play.
I’d be curious as well… like, just to know. I bet it’s a big number.
No its not. The answer is the same thing as literally any # in the world divided by 0.
Its nil, not possible. Its just a troll thread now haha. we chillen and moved on.
I’m not sure what you mean here.
If there’s no more rank decay you can presumably steadily work towards your rank caps one AV at a time. You’re effectively filling a rep bar.
There’s a finite number of games that will take you from 0% to 100%, is there not?
I’m not asking because I intend to do this, I’m legitimately just curious what R14 is in terms of “Number of AV games played.” Prior to the decay change it was harder to quantify that, but now it’s more discrete.
With the rank system reformed they could do a flat ratio so maybe like for each 1k honor you get 5rp, or give rp for doing pvp events. Ranking would be less stressful which would be good for a casual have fun rpg which might be a beta for vanilla+.
I totally understand why you’d have that assumption, but that still is not how it works.
So, ranking currently is divided into 5 buckets and how much honor you get determines which bucket youll land into. Ending bucket = how far you’ll progress. Finish in the last bucket each week and you get the max possible rank.
So, think of Decay as the first “bucket” each week. You have to clear that first bucket (usually 35% of total honor needed) just to start earning CP in bucket #2. Bucket 1 earns you no CP, that has not changed. Only buckets 2-5 earn you CP. Now, before this change, ending the week in that first bucket meant you lost CP, lost rank, and decayed (down to at most 0% of current rank).
NOW, you can finish in bucket one, and you still wont gain anything, because you didn’t make it into bucket 2 and beyond … BUT you wont lose anything either.
They simply removed the penalty of (finished in bucket 1 = lose X # of CP)
