Donā€™t remember the year exactly but I started at 5.3 and got to level 90 on my first characters by the time 5.4 hit the servers :slight_smile:

I bought WoW on its release date.

But I normally take a few month break every expansion.

Started in 2008, had a few breaks here and there.

I still have the original box and receipt for the game dated August 2007.

Started during the open betaā€¦so early 2004.

Hard to believe it will be 20 years very soon.

Fond memories of waiting in line to grab a midnight copy of BC and WotLK back when that was a thing. Trivia contests and giveaways and lots of rabid fans socializing for hours.

Wasnā€™t on this character, but I started playing mid-to-late 2013 right before the Siege of Orgrimmar patch.

Would have started a lot earlier but I had it hammered into my brain from a young age that only basement dwellers played WoW. Was I wrong, or did I change to become part of the target demographic? The world may never know.

Not counting messing around at my friendā€™s house in some AV back in vanilla, Iā€™ve been at it since early TBC.
Took a few choice expansions off (MoP, WoD, SL) either because I wasnā€™t really happy with where the game was at, or other games were competing for my attention (Rust).

Iā€™ve been playing for 13 years, since Sept of 2010, the tail end of Wrath and just before the Cata pre-patch event.

Summer of 05.

I play far less than I used to though. Iā€™m really only playing HC now, donā€™t even have DF, and probably wouldnā€™t be subbed right now if it wasnā€™t for the fact that I liquidated all my gold into game time.

That being said I wouldnā€™t be surprised if I ever buy an expansion to casually consume.

Started 9.1, right when everybody was quitting and trying out FFXIV due to hating Shadowlands, and the Blizzard lawsuit/controversy. I knew it was only up from there!
