With all these guides and addons out there for faster leveling, how long in game play hours would you say it would take to get from level 30-60. just a rough idea is fine.
Curious if I have the time with work or not to hit 60 before tbc hits on my priest.
I’m curious, as well. I understand that TBC prepatch reduces the time to level, but I’m not sure exactly by how much.
6-8 days /played for 1-60 is the normal pace i’d say. That’ll obviously be reduced significantly with the prepatch next Tuesday.
Well just to give you an idea, level 42-44 is around the half way point to 60 as far as time /played goes assuming you’re leveling solo out in the world. And 6-8 days /played is around average. So 30-60 is probably 4-6 days /played.
You could go faster than that if you’re really optimizing your leveling path or if you get some boosting from a 60 mage. But that’s probably close to the average.
This druid took 8 days /played if I remember correctly and was my first and slowest character to 60 on Classic. My fastest to 60 was of course my mage and that was 4 or 5 days /played if memory serves.
About 30 levels.

After Lvl 40 its about 3 hrs and 40-50 Mins per lvl with Farming. To lvl with Q its Great … But Losing so much time Boy Running to take … than Return .,
No idea how would be with prepatch
Interesting.
I shall take upon that as a personal challenge to beat it
Both my toons took close to 10 days. But I enjoy my time, read quests and fiddle with professions.
If you have Rested exp its much faster .
And depends wich class you are lvling.
On beta I was 21hrs to 30, and would have gotten 60 in roughly 3-3.5 /played. That’s at a fast, but not at all elite speed leveler rate (there where people getting 0-30 in regular vanilla classic in as low as 18hrs on rogues, for example for the top end speed levelers, and even faster than that on classes like hunters).
My vanilla best times are between 6-7days /played
It’s important to note that it’s not just reduced xp per level 20+, but also dramatically increased quest reward experience for that range as well…
Where power questing was only marginally faster than flat grinding in vanilla, it’s significantly faster in tbc.
With prepatch, however things will get trickier… There’s going to be a massive amount of rerolls in the elf zones and then subsequent zones after that which can impact your ability to quest… We may or may not have layering back in force… Instance boosting will definitely be a thing, as well “mob tagging” to speed level 1-25 or so by letting a hunter pet or felguard murder everything for you… Finally there’s going to be a whole bunch of opposing faction 60s with absolutely nothing better to do than come murder you…
All of those factors are gonna be huge in impacting leveling times. I’d also add, most leveling guides are built around vanilla, not tbc 1-60 content, and there are substantial differences.
1-58 takes zero seconds
Im leveling a Warrior , Fury all the way , of which many are saying is the slowest and most challenging class to level.
No boosts or dungeons in general. Just quests and mob grinding.
So far I can smash out a level in around 1hr 30-45mins (currently level 31), provided Im not ganked heh.
Did the EXP change at all levels or just starting from like 20?
30% less xp needed to hit 60
I’ve heard conflicting data, that its 20-60 and a few others saying 10-60
and again it’s not just overall xp required being reduced, it’s ALSO xp rewarded from quests INCREASED by a similar amount… The double dipping makes power questing VERY fast, relative to current vanilla
probably like 2-3 days in prepatch. we get an xp reduction, way more quests, elite quests become soloable, i think we can get our mount at level 30 too. overall it should be a lot faster than classic and doable in 2 weeks if you put several hours into it each day.
just stay focused and don’t do any professions, try to avoid pvp etc until you’re done leveling and follow questie/a leveling guide
Assuming the level squish is in pre-patch you’re looking at just under 3,000,000 exp. If you’re boosting you can probably average around 90k/hr so thats about 30 hours from 30-60.
If you’re not boosting you’re looking at maybe half that/hr so double the time.
If level squish isnt active in prepatch, add another 750k or so.
First reduction hits at level 10 (8800 - 8700 exp needed to level) then it increases from there
