I haven’t bought BFA yet… but i reaaaaalllly want a beefcake troll. I’d have bought it already if the races were available from the get-go. But leveling up a 120, then grinding to exaulted… then doing the unlock quest chain just seems like way too much of a PITA just to play a different skin of a class I already have.
I’m not interested in any BFA content, if unlocking the race was my only goal… how long would it take me in /played time?
If I were to guess I would say 20 hours of /played. However, that would have to be over a 3-4 week period because of the rep time gates.

It will take you weeks to reach all of the requirements. Probably upwards of a month.
As for exact /played, it depends on how fast you move when you’re on but 20-30 hours at least.
Assuming you do 4 wqs a day for Zandalari, that’s about 300 rep a day or 2100 a week not including the emmisary or zone quests.
Assuming this is all you do any nothing else it would be about 10 weeks to go from revered to exalted.
That is the bare minimum of effort. If you throw in the various other ways to get rep it will be sped up a lot.
10 weeks? you people are absurd. You will be done within 2 weeks if you truly grind for it and don’t laze about waiting for the easy rep sources. It doesn’t take that long to clear out both continents of world quests every day with a contract active.
Read my entire post is said if you do the MINIMUM amount of work. You are looking at 10 weeks.
But if you throw on the contract and do every available world quests, do every emmisary, every zone quests, etc… You will be done much faster.
Actually just doing all the regular quests in the zone can get you halfway there. Plus the wqs that give extra zanda rep, plus misson board.
ive been farming for a month now, and im 8000 rep on revered. idk how you can take only 2 weeks. ive been playing for 3-4 hours everyday, just for this, and its fuc*ing absurd. i want this really bad because rn they are my favorite allied race and maybe my favorite race in the entire game, but the grinding is just so annoying. i do all of the world quests, do all the quests i see, and currently farming island expeditions. 10 weeks is a slight exaggeration, but 2 weeks is just impossible. I dont want to sound like a casual who is upset that farming is a thing, but a decade and a half old system that still hasnt changed gets stale VERY quickly
