How long does it take to level in cata/wotlk classic?

Got the itch to play cata classic since its my favorite expansion, went and made a DK and upon getting to outland, i realized i’d rather scrape my sack against a cheese grater than go through outland again.

On retail you can usually buy a 1-60 boost for gold, is there a similar leveling method in classic, or am i better off just shoveling out the $60 for a boost?

If the queues are popping, try AV.

With wrath and cataclysm, outland is faster/easier than ever. When I leveled my main DK with wrath, I did hellfire, zanga, some nagrand… and that was about it, before heading to northrend. You could just stick to RDF, but that stupidly wasn’t put in until P3 of wrath, and one way or the other, running the same dungeons, dozens of times, back to back, is bound to get pretty boring.

You can but a boost or the quests are now quite linear in terms of their progression… it’s not that big of deal

Seems you got more problem if you’re grating you sack than what this game offers

Honestly it didn’t take me long at all and had no heirlooms. Outland was the usual slog though doing each dungeon once for the quests helped speed me through Hellfire and Zangar into Nagrand where I mopped up level 68 and into Northrend I went.

Doing each dungeon once for exp and just questing I went through Borean in it’s entirety and then moved to Sholozar Basin where I hit 80 roughly 56 or so quests in. Achieved 68 to 80 in less than a week probably clocking in less than 26 hours actual played and I consider that slow.

Any class that can tank can solo blood furnace 58-70.
