Depends. If you’re doing only the weeklies, it’ll take a while. If you actively try and farm the Stygia, it could be feasible to get one a week or so.
I honestly don’t care enough about gems to check.

bout a month or so if you go hard im 6k rep short due to work moving my hours around and my crew going in while im at work and im not losing all my banked stygia trying to max out rep everyday im in no hurry

Five weeks from expansion launch.
Shadowlands came out Nov. 24.
I got max rep with Venari on Dec. 30.
just doing thew quests and not farming rares it took my friend a little over 2 months and thats doing it almost every day
This. You get about 1000~ Stygia a day max by hitting rank 5. Weeklys give an extra 1,500.
getting tier 5 jailer everyday???
they plan their route out so that they teleport back to ven’ari when they are done or just hearth out and jump back down , its really not that difficult to survive t5 if your smart about it

That’s how it’s done. You want to max out your Jailer Hate every day to get as much Stygia as possible.
Exactly. Even after hitting Jailer Hate 5, you can still loot Stygia until you hit 10 stacks of the debuff after that. And even at 10 stacks, you can still turn in the quest rewards to get more Stygia from Venari.
Heck, you can even get your weekly souls after hitting 10 stacks, so as to get zero Jailer Hate from doing that, even.

That’s what you should be aiming for, yes. Sometimes there are rare farming groups in group finder and it makes it go by very quickly. Do the weekly quests and kill the high-rep rares.
I’ve even been able to squeeze in 1 or 2 more rare kills after maxing out the eye. Stygian Incenerator, Borr-geth, and Soulsmith Yol-Mattar are pretty close to Ve’nari’s Refuge if you time it right

Yeah, every day. It’s not work, the Maw’s pretty quick and fun if you follow Venari’s advice.
Get in, get your objective, get out.
Don’t fight random mobs. Just run past them / CC them.
Use the grappling hooks to escape from stuff, especially in Perdition Hold.
Use the teleports to get around. Not just the ones out in the field, but also the gateway in venari’s refuge to The Tremaculum and The Beastwarrens.
Use gliders.
Use the teleport up to Dartanos in the Tremaculum as a threat dump.
There are lots of tricks in the Maw.

Six gem slots is basically an extra free piece of gear.
I think it’s funny when people complain about not getting gear, but won’t do the Maw, which essentially gives them more gear. And no RNG involved.
I think the weeklies are 750 and 850 for the two first area weeklies, and 1100 for Perdition Hold or Beastwarrens.
You can also kill the Wrath of the Jailer mob once a week for some extra rep. If you’ve unlocked the Beastwarrens, you can also do a Hunt twice a week (think lesser assaults from vale/uldum).
