How long does it take to get Exalted with Highmountain?

I did all of the main Highmountain quests and that got me to Honored. I’m assuming it’s just a matter of doing Highmountain World Quests every day? How long does that tend to take, for reference?

The rep bar is rather deceptive in that Honored is only at the 9k mark of the 42k you need to get to Exalted. So you need around 33k more.

Doing all available WQs will get you about 500 a day. You need more than that or it takes forever.

The Highmountain emissary will come up once every 9 days for 1500. Obviously you will get that if you are doing the WQs daily. You also get a Kirin Tor emissary every 9 days which you can choose to give you another 1500 Highmountain rep if you are focusing on it. So that is 3k every 9 days or about 330 more per day on average.

You will want to spend the order hall resources you earn doing all these WQs on any mission you can find on your mission board that gives HM rep. If you have only just started Legion content on this character though you might not get many of those, or have the ability to get too many bonus rewards. Those missions give 250 as the base reward but can give 1500 more as bonus which really helps.

There are also periodically demon invasions in each zone. They essentially just add extra WQs for the day, but they are also good exp if your character is still leveling to 110. There will be one in HM about every 3 days but they rotate around the clock and you may not catch all of them. Averaged out maybe 100 extra rep per day fromt he ones you do catch.

Lots of numbers thrown about, but all considered you will progress at about 1k per day on average (some days (ie HM emissaries) will be much better, some days not so much) and it takes about a month.

Thanks for breaking it down! As for the emissaries, where do they tend to appear? I know there is a HM emissary in the city who is basically just the HM quartermaster, but I haven’t seen her give out any quests for extra rep.

And I haven’t finished the Legion maps (did Loremaster for Aszuna and Highmountain), and am already level 111, so I turned my XP off so I don’t overlevel and trivialize the experience. Haven’t touched BfA content yet, as a result.

Emissaries will appear on your map once you have unlocked World Quests. I can’t tell if you have done so yet. If this is your first character (it is an account wide unlock and only has to be done once) you may not have yet. You just need to get to Friendly with the 4 base zone factions (so you need to work on Stormheim and Val’sharrah). Then Khadgar will have a quest for you back in Dalaran and your map will suddenly be mad spammed with quest markers and the emissaries at the bottom.

You don’t have to do anything to start an emissary - if it is active you will get credit for each WQ you do for that faction, and then once you have done 4 it will complete and you go to the faction’s QM to turn it in. It is fairly intuitive when you see it.

Again, thank-you for taking the time to explain all this. I know I’m Friendly with the Nightborne due to doing that very long, obnoxious quest chain in Suramar, but haven’t done Loremaster yet for Suramar, Val’Sharah, and Stormheim. Lots of WQs pop up on my maps since I am level 111. Guess I need to continue my journey to Legion Loremaster before I start investing in rep grinds.

The third boss in the Dungeon in Highmountain (Can’t remember their names) gives rep when you kill them. Back in Legion, I farmed a ton of rep killing him on normal on my Demon Hunter (I was able to skip the first 2 bosses because of gliding). You can skip the last boss, and then reset the dungeon once you’re outside.

I’d do this until I was locked out, and do my rep quests, and then by then, the dungeon was open again. If you get to 120, I imagine you’d have no problem getting to/killing him. Something to consider if you want to get there faster.
