If i needed 30k for a legendary, how long would it take one to farm that?
Depends on your sever, what your farming, etc.
I could get it in a few hours farming leather on Zul’jin.
Or I could make 6x that amount in about 30 seconds.

You’re a tank class on alliance, you can get 900 gold from that bag they hand out to tanks/healers when their is a tank shortage for random normal/heroic

The time varies depending on how developed your account is.
For example, 1 character doing callings generates 1.5-2K gold per days plus 4K for every paragon box. So just doing daily quest provides around 10K per week and 30K in 3 weeks.
If you have 3 toons that can do callings you can get it in 7 days or less without paragon boxes. Faster with.
And that’s not counting the individual quest rewards you get in the process or other daily/weekly events so it could be even faster
For pure grinding gathering, the math is more complicated and requires analysis of your server and market conditions

If you do all 3 callings at once, you can make 5 to 6k just doing that.

As well as the Korthia weekly gives a nice amount of gold too. Plenty of different ways to gain gold without having to play the auction house or farm for mats.
One thing not pointed out here, is, do you raid or push high keys? If not then there is no purpose whats so ever for a legendary.

If you just did Covenant Callings everyday and farmed from no other revenue streams, it would take about 8 days (if you haven’t done any you can do 3 on day one). It compounds with the more level 60 alts you have. The boxes give 3000-5000 gold.
If you have 3 level 60 alts, you can do it in a day with about an hour of effort.

On max lvl callings alone, a couple hours.
As long as it takes you to type in your credit card number.

You can get that extremely fast with leatherworking or Herbalism. Raid mats are extremely profitable and even more so on reset day.
It can be achieved with little effort in one day.
How is a different question, 30K gold is a relatively small amount in today’s wow, and there are just way too many different ways to achieve it for a single short post to cover.
Wowhead is your friend. Explore there.
Do your callings, use gathering professions, or crafting professions. Run your weekly quests. Run old raids, sell transmog, sell pets, do mission table from Legion, BfA, and SL, etc. etc. etc.
Yeah, I got that last week on a couple of characters. Rare Resources, Defending Maldraxus and Aiding Maldraxus. Cha-Ching!
I’ll throw all my money in the guild bank, then I look at my bags again a week later, and I’ve got 20-30K gold in them just from doing WQs and Callings.
What? Some of them are really fun. For example, the Paladin Ban Hammer attack is wicked awesome.
Just get the legendary on a 210/225 piece for now. The legendary power would still be the same, you would just be a couple of ilvl lower than u could’ve been. As you play & get gold, upgrade it. A 210 base item shouldn’t cost much.
Approximately? I’d say about 2 days farming the “infinite Legion”. Demon blood and claws make good money…

There are plenty of leggos that add utility to any environment, such as the warrior leaper. Now, iLvl wouldn’t matter as much, but the actual powers are still useful.

Callings award about 3k/day, so ignoring absolutely every other way to get gold, 10 days of doing like 1-4 world quests.

You can do a M+ carry and get it quickly.
Check your server and see what sells.
You can TRY farming herbs and ores.
Do callings on main and alts.
Play the AH.
