How long does faction transfer take?

I need to change factions to replace my bad gear with good gear. Is the process long or is it pretty instant?

Think the longest it takes is 3 hours.

Take about an hour or so. Keep in mind, though, that a lot of Faction specific stuff gets reset.

I had to re-do the Argent Tournament 3 times because of that on this toon. Never again.

Every time I’ve done it the time has varied. Sometimes it’s about an hour, sometimes it takes a couple hours.

I guess that is not too bad, if I do it now it will be ready about time I get home.

I don’t think I have that much going on with this guy. My hunter has Argent Tournament so he will just have to keep the bad gear.

It’s pretty quick, but as others have said, some stuff is reset. My Druid I just brought over to Horde had to redo the faction war campaign questline as well as the intro quest for Darkshore and I think some other stuff. So a bit annoying.

I think those just switch over the to oppoosite faction equivalent in the achievement.

You have to be home in order to complete the faction/race change. Considering his above posts, I’m guessing he’s still a few hours away from that.

Well everyone, I did the process yesterday evening. It did not take but 15 minutes so I am satisfied with the timing.

Took about 15 minutes yesterday. Not a fan of having to do the War Campaigns again but whatever they are super easy now compared to when I was leveling.

Also no time locks as I am already exalted with the factions. Doing the Transmog was annoying because Alliance does not have the same stuff and it is very bright.
