I’ve spent two and a half hours looking for these stupid Angel Scale Starfish and still need 2 more. So I wonder what purpose this daily quest was designed for? A ultimate method to keep players busy wasting time? And I want to ask WoW Dev Team, how long do you guys think it should take to finish this daily quest?

What’s the reward for 2 hours of doing this quest?
Same as that stupid carp quest. Picked it up Wednesday night and just finished it this morning when not many were on.
Some of these quests are crap. Also, some don’t show on the map where to find the items. I mean, in classic it doesn’t either, but at least it gives a clue in the text where it is.

YEP!!! They have an EXTREMELY small amount and those that are there have an EXTREMELY long refresh time. Like the stupid carp. Blizz really screwed the pooch on this patch. They should have increased the rates for the short term while everyone is doing the quests and slowly taper back as players inevitably leave again.

Some quests dont even give clues or they just say things like “west”. Awful experience.

I’ve found the carp are easiest to find and bountiful at the area with the hydras, west of the Ashen Strand. Took about 10min last night.
I haven’t done the starfish yet, but I have heard nothing good so far heh. I do know that the Imperial Gardens seems to be out of phase with the rest of the zone, kind of like the Tidal Conflux is, and I can see a starfish on the ground outside the Gardens, but when I get close it phases me out to another without the starfish. That was last night, anyway.

Still happening. I can see a bunch in there but can’t get to them. I go in and there is no mobs near then it phases and I am surrounded and dead in seconds.

For all the complaints on the Jelly’s and Bejeweled quests I can’t believe people aren’t actually PO’ed about the “collect resources” and “kick fish” quests. Those are uninspired dog poop where there isn’t near enough of them and it resets every day if you don’t finish it in one day.

At least im not picking through poop ….yet. There is always one quest each xpac.
What’s even worse is that there are starfish that despawn the moment you get close to them all across the map. Its not from someone picking them up either - because you go about 10 ft away and they reappear.
I just wonder who thinks that this kind of CRAP - and yes, it is complete CRAP - is fun in the least?

it would be easy if not for phasing bug that removes them from zone where they spawn

My guess is the phasing is malfunctioning as it tries to balance zone population and loads in the zone, because so many players are in the same area at the same time.
The warmode phasing finally seems to have stabilized, did the Battle this morning and actually had Alliance on the same shard, and didn’t get randomly sharded to a different Battle midway through.
