I just came back to WoW maybe a couple or a few months ago and a couple weeks ago I decided I wanted a Thunderfury to mog.
I’ve got the bars now I just need the bindings. I run it on about 6 toons a rogue, pally, dh, monk, warrior and hunter to try and increase my luck. So far I have 2 left bindings and 1 right (all on different toons). What are the odds I’ll get it “quickly” since I’m running on multiple toons.

when I decided to grind this I got the left binding right away, my first attempt running MC on my Monk.
Took me a couple years of on and off playing. Mim’s head is my Achilles heel. Though I suppose I spent all my luck when I got Tusks on my first run trying to get the “blue” colored axe Garrosh drops.
Believe the drop rate is around 4-6%. May take you a bit but be patient. Left binding took me a while.
Still not finished . Got the first binding then lost interest. At least you know what is needed to do it. Not like wishing for the new legendaries quest drop. I also wish they would create a way to upgrade past expansion legendaries to the current item levels. Something LEGENDARY should not run it’s usefulness.
This was me, finally got both bindings casually farming when I remembered MC existed.
The new legendaries work exactly like the vanilla ones though lol
You need a rare drop to start and then an expensive and lengthy quest chain to finish.
Nah, that would be impossible to balance and you’d have people complaining exactly as much as they do about Fy’ralak now, but multiplied for every single legendary.
Still don’t have it. Have a bunch of appropriate characters with one binding, then my druid has managed to get both bindings while still not having all of the druid tier transmog.
Been working on it for 2 years and I can’t get past a certain point in the quest line, I looked on wowhead and icy veins and it appears the problem could be that I don’t have a hunter, paladin, rogue, death knight, or warrior.
I wonder if the Warband-wide transmog unlock thing will mean that you could finish the questline and make Thunderfury on your druid and then have it unlocked when TWW launches
I got it pretty fast, it was a long time ago now for me so I don’t remember the exact time line
The bindings are soul bound and not account bound, I’m not sure what running it on multiple toons would do for you, unless those multiple have one of them already .
well I have 3 toons with bindings…so that’s 3 chances of getting the other one. I also may get both bindings faster on a different toon that has none…RNG is weird I might even get both in one run, I’ve seen it happen before.
I decided one day I want TF, so I took my rogue through MC, got one binding first time I went through. Got my rogue to FRIENDLY rep with waterlords and not even halfway through got the second binding, it was like 3 runs total.
I don’t remember how ong it was when I went for it. I also went for Sulfuron as well. I have on several characters one of the bindings, another has both bindings, but i got both of them done around the same time. I think 2019 there abouts.
On my paladin main I have that bow from the Sunwell, first time I went in there and I joked on teamspeak about it was going to drop. rolls eyes Had both blades drop from Illidan, I was trying for his eye wraps. Stupid things took a month to get on a leather wearer.
Seems that when I am looking for something else, the thing that eludes me drops. Astral serpent mount, Invincible, Ashes…
