How is Unholy damage still so bad

I end up rank 3 or 4 damage in a match despite having diseases up on most enemy team and using epidemic in the rotation on as many as 7 people clumped together

And getting several deathcoil KB’s from a range for 700k to 1m damage

But on my ret which doesn’t even have A tier performance in most brackets, i almost always top damage.

Why does unholy rot damage continue to be so bad.

Because you’re not a hunter!

Yeah but i pretend boomies or hunters are npc’s who you can’t beat

Wth is up with unholy becoming discount warlock having to be in melee range half the time and twice as squishy.

And frost diseases deal way more damage

Yeah, unholy ele sham outlaw survival arcane feral demo never get to see the fotm side of wow.
Feel bad for ya especially if you love that spec. Not much you can do blizz is terrible and will never change when it comes to this. Make a nelf hunter …appears to be their solution

Unholy damage is really good they just can’t cope with being ran at by rogue/feral/warrior/hunter perma.

No.

So epidemic damage is total trash and death coil out damages 7 targets clumped together

I believe that Death Spiral should always be prioritized, because there are many talents that work with this skill and theoretically you would be turning your back if you didn’t use it.

you mean death coil?

That’s it.

Since I don’t speak fluent English, I use Google Translate to communicate here. I apologize for that.

Damage is severely undertuned if a single target rage dump out damages a rage dump that hits 8 targets and cleaves damage among them all.

Yeah, in almost every situation you gonna wanna death coil even if epidemic can be marginally higher in scenarios where there’s a ton of targets.

Idk how this guy is struggling to do dmg on Unholy of all specs which does absurd damage in cleave/aoe even when it’s bad.

By choosing the right talents, your Death Coil will hit 2 targets at once; will deal periodic damage based on direct damage; will increase the damage of Clawing Shadows or Scourge Strike and will burst Festering Wounds on targets.

I feel the issue, again, is mostly survival. Unholy can sit on casters and healers but when the enemy team knows how to peel and focus the unholy dk, its game over.

Some games I can reach near the top of damage but that takes a bit of luck and flying under the radar so to say.

Now if you look at Mes, he has great synergy with rogues, having his damage set up and being able to train in 3s is deadly.

Unholy is almost there, but without support and being smart with positioning and cds, you will get thrown and hard. Honestly was disappointed to know a favorite spec of mine is this squishy. Honestly feels like ret is just the better pick most of the time, especially with their support kit and high damage.

I’ll keep saying it,

The armor nerf to plate is stupid and no one seems to put the dots together why feral, MM, and Monk has been doing so well since the nerf

When you bring plate from 35% to only 24% damage reduction, these specs go from 65% to 76% effective damage. Which is about a 14% increase in damage.

And plate recieves nothing in return

Warrior is okay with defensive stance and 30% armor

Ret can only kite for so long , and DK becomes a pve target dummy

Plate has been terrible since the nerf with warrior shining on and off [no, the second half of df season 1 ret was stupid and blizz not testing their product again]
