How is this server?

Hey all!

I noticed this server has a decent spread of ally and horde so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how this server is doing and has been the past x years?

I plan to move to a new server, essentially starting over fresh and just moving my main healer, who is now horde.

My worry is the message i am getting for wait times etc, I imagine they are not too bad correct? Do you even see wait times? Or is that like mostly around launches?

Wait times?

On login, I’ve never had a wait time unless Blizz is having some major issue in general.

The wait times for everything else isn’t a realm-thing anymore. Every instance you can queue for (dungeon, battleground, etc…), you will queue with players from many, many realms. It’s actually uncommon for me to play with other Dalaran players.

If you do end up playing with players outside of the USA, lag can be an issue but usually for the non-US players.

I was more or less worried as blizz/the system gave me the warning when joining this server that there might be wait times but I assumed that because the server isnt as jam packed as others so it wouldn’t be an issue. ( outside of like major releases such as expansions )

Like Ive played on full servers before and never seen that message so was just wondering if there were wait times to get into game.

My guess is they give that warning the first time anyone joins a “full” realm for the first time.

Any comment on the alliance side of the realm? I have both faction characters scattered around and if I enjoy it here ill stay :yum:

I would describe Dalaran as casual on the whole in both factions. It’s not an “elite realm” for raiding or rated pvp. Most guilds do raid into heroic and nearly every guild has at least a couple of guys that enjoy pvp. That last few guilds I’ve been in had a lot of focus on M+ but clearing 15’s was challenging. The guild I’m currently in has been very stable and the few that I was in before that closed down due to the GM having severe R.L. issues
