Blizzard needs to fix this garbage mechanic fast
I am going to link two videos of two different 3v3 matches from the other night vs this team that we thought something was really off… this team is in rank 1 range right now because they just have a massive advantage from trinkets. These guys are using the quantum device trinket paired with adaptation and relentless trinkets so not only does the cc last shorter, but they can still trinket as well.
Some may not watch the 2nd one all the way through but ill break down what happened in these clips.
In the first one the druid is adaptation with quantum device and we kidney his adapt so we can blind him full but he just trinkets out of the blind as well. Extremely broken that these guys can do this vs a comp thats based entirely off setup and they already counter us.
Second one they’re both playing relentless and they just trinket at key moments to completely stop our kill windows. You can see at one point the warrior trinkets out of a 3 second cheap shot to intervene the druid when we possibly would’ve killed the druid inn that setup.
I originally thought these guys were abusing some bug but this is actually just terrible game design which shouldn’t be allowed. They should make the medallion/rele/adapt unique with quantum device and any future trinkets they make like it.

And how that affects you?
because warriors and enhance shamans can completely negate mage rogue kill windows if there is even .5 seconds of a gap in cc on the warrior and shaman. The issue is that in these situations we are expecting them to not get out of cc because of the trinket icon that shows on the arena frames. How are we supposed to know mid game at high rating that people can trinket while playing relentless.

I mean, protecting Rogue/Mage comp aside, it is still fundamentally bad game design if this is how it’s happening.

this is one of the funniest things you could ever show to someone who plays another esport
“it’s the classic wow comp, more than half of the most iconic arena pvp players played or still play rmp. so yeah when they’re all in ccs and their trinket has that little icon it means we all pushed the right button at the same fraction of a second and because of that none of them can do anything and we get to play the game 3v0 for 10ish seconds”

terrible logic. you are so obviously biased because you’re playing the god class of shadowlands and can single-handedly peel an rmp’s entire go with 1 button. If you think people being able to trinket when they’re not supposed to is good for the game you’re delusional about what pvp needs.

because they’re playing relentless / adaptation. So when we kidney the adapt and it goes on cooldown we don’t expect him to be able to trinket out of the blind…

what an ugly, stupid thing to say. you should feel bad for misreading this hard
iqd being usable in pvp is clearly bad for the game. the trinket bonus of ~12% damage and healing is supposed to disincentivize this, and that not being the case is obviously a failure of game design. nothing i said disputes that at all
i would love to know what you think you saw me say that made you decide to say this

From what you said it sounded to me like you were intending that “RMP players just wanna 3v1 for 10 seconds” instead of me complaining because these people are trinketing out of cc when they’re using different trinkets on arena frames.
I think this priest plays fire mage and posts on alt, he must be trolling 
I didn’t say it was cheating, I said I originally thought it was but then found out it was quantum device. I’m trying to expose an issue with the game design not report people for using it.

i did not say “iqd being used like this makes sense”, and i definitely did not say “lol get rekt rmp turbo needs that to have a chance”. yet somehow you seem to have read both implications. what’s wrong with you?

Do you not understand it is impossible for this team to lose to RMP when they are using that mechanic? It is the first time I’ve encountered any high rated team using it and they already have a good advantage against RMP as turbo. The fix would be to simply make it unique to medallion/rele/adapt.
How do you get to me apparently not understanding that turbo does well into RMP over you claiming the players only got into rank 1 range due to the trinkets?
You should reread your original post cuz your wording of it comes off more as rmp slander than what you were trying to get across
