and PvP is a total disaster. From WM to BGs to Rated play, it all is absolutely terrible. Imagine having not vendors in 2019. What a flop. There is a post in the Arena forums created by one of the casters for Blizzcon (venruki) and it has gone totally ignored. 6k views by a highly respected Blizz employee and its sill ignored.

What gets me is they said it was a PvP expansion but no new epic BGs?
Instead we got Warfronts . Against AI. That you can’t possibly lose.

Just appears to be focused on PvP because they have returned to the faction conflict which has been pretty much redundant since vanilla.

It’s a faction versus faction expansion. They said it was alliance vs. horde – it’s the overzealous PvP community that took it to mean player vs. player.
Face it, MMOs are not meant solely for PvP. Who do you think Blizzard gave you an alternate PvP “fix” with their games like Overwatch and HotS?
World of Warcraft is a PvE game, with a few minor elements of PvP. That’s all it’s ever been. The PvP community in this game has always been the minority of players. They wouldn’t make an expansion solely catered to 10-15% of their players.
Could they add more? Perhaps. As long as it doesn’t affect the majority of PvE players.

Meh, people have been saying this game’s PVP has been dead since the introduction of Battlegrounds in classic.
It’s all static noise now.

the PVE Theme of the expansion is the faction war between alliance NPC’s and horde NPC’s

I can agree with you that not having pvp vendors is awful. I would kill for the old system at this point, and i hated that system. Gearing up via random drops is not a fun way at all.
But the exp was never meant to be pvp oriented, it was meant to focus on faction conflict.
They hated him because he spoke the truth.

There is zero point to do normal bgs there is no rewards.its either rated bg and arena for any gear through pvp.
Also if you did arena there is that same bad meta of comps.imo wow pvp is bad.

They decided to make PvP basically mandatory if you want to level a ton of professions? Just to make gear with PvP names but PvE stats!
Im about to drop mad unpopular opinions right now.
The best pvp in the game was during classic, which everyone was on the same playing field, gear was not scaled at all and if you were fully decked out in naxx you were usually top dog.
On top of that classic pvp had actual RPG elements in the game, where you would actually tell the diffrence between hitting someone in plate vs cloth. Additionally, there was class RPG involved with classic pvp. Classes could, by nature, trump other classes. It did not mean it was a guaranteed win, but you had natural advantages. For example, a warrior could truck almost any class he got into melee with, problem was getting into melee. Rogue woudl do great if they got the drop, otherwise they were toasted. Hunters were great at killing cloth wearers but got stomped by a lot of melee classes if they got into their dead zone.
PvP died once they tried to homogenize all the classes so that they pretty much all played the same minus visuals.

WoW has never been a real pvp game. PvP is just something to do in the game. When your bored of the rest. Now GW2 and games like it, those are real pvp games.
