How is there not a fake Raider IO addon?

Bump.

Seriously good idea :bulb:

It wouldn’t work. Quite simply everyone’s Raider IO addon takes information directly from the Raider IO(which takes info directly from Blizzard) Its why I can see someones score regardless of whether or not they have the addon.

Lol do you know how Raider IO works?

I don’t think anyone who’s pro-fake Raider io knows much of anything about mythic+, honestly.

Most of the time you don’t even need it:
Group leader: Link achievment?
Me: Oh yeah, what one?
Group leader: Links in chat
Me: Shift+click, link it right back in chat
Group leader: Welcome aboard

Don’t achievement links show when you completed the achievement . . . ?

Most people dont pay attention ive found.

Really?

The date is like . . . right there . . . impossible to miss . . .

So are most bad things you shouldn’t be standing in, but alas, people still die :stuck_out_tongue:
Actually if most people were able to pay attention, there would be even less activity on these forums :tumbler_glass:

Not in good groups! xD I doubt good leaders would miss the completion date detail, either.

Yeah, I’m not sure why you’d want to do a key with someone who misses the obvious things. <.<

It’s their key, who am I to judge? :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m OK with IO, but I do wish we didn’t need it. All we really need is the info block that IO gives, which is just a list of which dungeons a player has done at what level and how many dungeons they’ve completed.

The overall IO score system is bollocks. The important part is the individual dungeons. Sure a high IO means more likely to know mechanics in any dungeon. But even if someone has 10s in some dungeons that doesn’t mean I want them in a dungeon they have never done before.

M+ is an unlocked progression path. You can skip to the end unlike say raiding where you have to kill early bosses to even attempt later ones. But, it’s still progressive, you should do a 6 before you do a 9 before you do a 12, etc. But you don’t have to. RIO just gives other players the ability to see how progressed you are.

You would be amazed at what people do not check. Plus, if you don’t have the achievement then you aren’t getting in anyway so there’s no downside at all.

Would you want to be in a group headed by someone that dense though? I feel like that’s boarding a train that you already know is going to crash.

I’ve never done it personally. But if the alternative was not doing the content at all? Maybe.

I disagree. I feel that boiling people down to a number dehumanizes them and removes some of the social aspect of the game.

I felt the same way about armory and gear score. It isn’t anything in particular about RaiderIO, just a general oposition to anything that removes the human element of people.

It’s very similar to disliking user data gathering and marketing by large companies today. Either you do care or you don’t.

Well, the addon reflects the content. I am a PvP-RPer, I understand and appreciate human elements in WoW.

That being said, the content aka m+ does not require human interaction and social elements for success. Literally run the dungeon within the timer and win.

So essentially, the system is good. Raider io works as a system for the content it is designed for.

We can criticize m+ as not being good content for an MMORPG though.
