How is there not a fake Raider IO addon?

There’s a fake achievement addon which worked wonderfully, how has someone not done the same for raider IO. Would it be possible?

Why are we giving the community bad ideas?

As a casual, I just pushed a 9+ key last week. It isn’t hard man, and I don’t even have raider io.

Sir, I am not mistaken.

It’s a good system. It lets people screen for good m+ partners, since there is no insurance for your 10+ or above m+ key.

I don’t use raider io, but I understand why serious m+ runners would. Why are we trying to destroy that experience with fake raider io addon?

What would be the point? Their addon and website talks to their database… Their database connects to the wow api which in turn obtains your information. When I use the addon in game your information is coming from warcraft in a round about way. This isn’t a ‘fake it till you make it’ scenario.

Like . . . why? The weakness of the person faking their RIO score would be noticed immediately (it’s always very obvious when a player is out of their depth in m+). And if that person wasn’t mocked for the entire run, they’d be kicked and the keystone would be rerolled.

It’s literally a lose/lose for everyone involved. You can’t hide in mythic+ as easily as you can in raids.

More seriously, do you understand why the addon is important? There is a lot of time investment in running hard keys, and there is no failsafe in the system if someone doesn’t know or understand mechanics.

The system only fails if someone asks you for 2000 io for a 6+ key.

I hear you. I used to run 15+s in Legion without the raider io system.

But my insurance was guildies. You wouldn’t catch me dead running high keys with pugs, very very rarely if so. I had friends in my bnet who I trusted to tank/heal/dps for me, depending on what toon I ran.

The current system isn’t bad, but yeah the system fails if low keys are asking for too much.

Best thing to do right now is push your own keys, if you are like me and don’t have raider io installed.

Creating a hacked version of raider IO I doubt would violate any blizz rules. Seeing as it would just alter an add on that isn’t part of blizzard. If anything it would be amusing to see someone actually create said add on. Would help to do away with alot of raider IO’s problems. There seems to be a need for said add on atm. Now just need to find said person to create one and release it to the public.
