This is actually wild to me. One of the most fundamental parts of the game is just completely untrackable without addons. There are a lot of addons down right now after the new patch, gladiusex being one of them and Sarena being another, and there is no actual in game way to track DR.
The new arena frames they added are mostly fine, I can play with them no problem if i have to. They even added left click to focus. However, there really should be a DR tracker too.
Either play with addons or don’t. I’ve achieved more than most people without using any

You can choose to do whatever you want, I dont really care what you do or dont do. The problem is about how there is no in game DR tracker at all when it is such an integral part of pvp overall. That is pretty insane and it should have been added years ago already. I prefer playing with minimal addons but the fact you cant track DR without one is insane.
You can’t track a lot of stuff without addons. As long as you know the fundamentals you’ll be fine. If you’re pushing glad or higher I’d recommend setting up addons. But glad isn’t achievable by the vast majority of us so it doesn’t matter anyways.
I have gotten glad but that is not the point. Everything you are saying is slightly missing the point here. I am not talking about addons in general, I am talking about this one specific case where something integral to pvp is not in the default UI at all when it should be. And yes tracking DR does matter, even if you do not go for glad.
If you are using your cc when you’re supposed to it shouldn’t be on DR. You have more experience than me if you’re glad . I’ve achieved it once in the past but Blizz kind of screwed me over and didn’t recognize it.
That isn’t really how it works when you are playing something like solo shuffle, in 3s you have communication but even then it still happens (even to r1s) because mentally tracking the DR timer to push for a fear or go in for a HoJ is ridiculous, nobody is doing that or wants to do that. Also mentally tracking which DR each cc is at is not happening, nobody is doing that either. Tracking DR should be a default option in the game, period.
edit: Also I wont speak on your glad but you do not have any duelist achievements either so idk what to say, not that it really matters here but I also have no idea what you are even arguing regarding this. That tracking DR shouldnt be in the game despite how integral it is to pvp? lol

There’s a reason they stopped handing out titles. Too many mistakes.
Their failure to add a DR tracker is the ultimate and final piece of evidence to show that they do not care about pvp at all. Anyone telling you to “git gud” or “who cares” is just a sore loser who lurks on forums to spread negativity.
They need to add this. And the sad thing is they wont do it unless we have some insane twitch riot or twitter riot than brings them bad PR. Then all of a sudden they will come out with a statement saying “we have been working on a DR tracker for some time now and are proud to announce a new feature! blah blah” after people start unsubbing
Yeah, they said that in a blue post back in BFA. The reason was that it felt like things were far too inaccessible for newer players and it felt like the actual rating was useless for the entirety of the season.
Plus, Relative titles had entirely different thresholds at different times which was confusing and frustrating for players.
Finally, EVERYONE needed to degen on the last day instead of just people pushing R1.

I’ve been playing MMO’s longer than some people have been alive. I also play other competitive PvP games and am quite good at them. I have enough experience under my belt to make my own judgements
I think it actually is. He had some insane drop off in performance/quality, I think someone said it was a disability or something. Like for real, not even trolling
Should totally be a default dr tracker in-game as well as an in-game gladius addon (the one blizzard gives is awful).

I think their default enemy arena frames are honestly pretty good, even have a trinket tracker there. Its customization is lacking pretty heavily though. Missing the DR tracker is actually insane, and there is no excuse at this point in time, it does not matter how much time it would take to implement because its been 20 years. 8 since legion. Plenty of time to do this and its one of the biggest puzzle pieces of pvp, its insane to me that we do not have it.
Aside from a DR tracker, it is missing enemy cast bar customization (mostly just sizing/moving it), and tracking enemy cooldowns. If they had this in game I think the only addons I’d be using for pvp specifically would be bigdebuffs.
With this recent patch on tuesday a lot of addons have basically been not working or have disappeared lol. This has really shown how bad the default ui is imo, and while I appreciate the steps they are taking its just too slow for how long we havent had these things.
