How is the evoker rotation?

On a scale of 1-10 how difficult is the evoker rotation?

With a 1 being demon hunters and a 10 being shadow priests. For those of you who have blessed Alpha access.

The hardest part of the evoker rotation will be finding the worst possible spot to drag the tank to on cooldown. You’ll need to keep an eye on DBM and time it so you drag the tank onto a one-shot environmental effect at the earliest possibility.

May need to coordinate with other evokers to do the same with healers, as well.

More importantly, is it actually FUN and has good dynamic combat flow like Rogues as well as feeling badass?

The only thing “advanced” about it is dealing with the animation locks long enough to rage quit back to your previous class.

Although I don’t have alpha access, playing with the talent calculator in wowhead you can make a super easy “DH build” with just the 4 basic abilities… Or can make it really complex taking all the extra active skills in said talent tree.

Seeing the info of the YouTubers, Blue build is a little more complex that Red build because has more buttons to press.

Bleh. Can you at least move during the animation locks or are you stuck in place like Whirling Dragon Punch?

Then I guess my evoker will be a red one!

Stuck. There are videos all over the place of the dumb things just flying right into mechanics lol.

That ability looks like a trap to me. The damage it does is pretty weak for the amount of time it takes to activate and complete, you’ll eat mechanics, and I constantly see people in vids overshooting it and pulling extra mobs like they are a hunter using barrage.

But I believe that’s the only one that actually animation locks you and it’s on a 2 min cooldown, not a rotational ability.

I’m sure evokers flying into mobs will be a source of countless botched pulls in mythic+. But at least hunters won’t hear “it’s always the hunter” for a few months.

Well hopefully Bliz take Evoker into account and don’t make dungeons like Necrotic Wake where ads are just everywhere and accidental pulls are inevitable unless everyone on the team is watching where they are walking and fears are being interrupted or straight up avoided it should be fine
