How is shaman doing atm? all specs

Looking to branch out and curious about shaman.

Always loved the lore, how is the performance?

And is windfury only useful in melee comp groups?

What are you looking at pvp or pve.

If your looking for pve Enhancement is a fun spec. Not sure about elemental or resto.

pve.

Keys and raids

So I love enhancement physical build. Its very fun but very high apm and a lot of stuff to keep track of. Elementalist build is meh in my opinion. But if your looking for something fun and deal with having to get 2 weapons Enhancement is fun. And its my favorite spec out of all of classes and specs.

What draws you to it like that?

To be honest. I have always loved enhancement but watching all the numbers that pop up when Wf procs. And with the built in cleave with crash lighting that gives cleave to 3 different attacks you just choose which one to use. Make a Shaman and try enhancement. On my other Enhancement that I level I rush wf and then talent to make WF hit a 3rd time.

I just generally love Enhancement Shaman I have for years. even started leveling alliance Shamans.

Resto is doing well in both m+ and raid. Recent changes to talents have helped a ton.

Enh is doing well in m+. Lost a little bit in the later half of raiding, which is expected. Two schools of builds (Phys vs Elementalist), both have high APM. Phys is a little more streamlined, elementalist has a lot more going on.

Ele I dont have any direct experience with, I just know that typically the perception of things is worse than the actuality.

Due to the high utility all specs have, this does great in m+, less so in raid. Also, it can add to a large amount of buttons to keep track of, esp for enhance.

Shaman in general lack on defensives compared to many other classes/specs. So you may have to watch yourself a bit more than you are used to.

I’m also very tempted to roll a Shaman because all specs looks fun, but also because now Thunderstorm is available for everyone… plus Travelling Storms + the PVP TS talent will make a Shaman a really good EotS annoyance.

My only issue is that I just don’t like any race that can be Shaman right now lol. I’m hopintg that Night Elf will get the class eventually.

I haven’t seen anything to think that enhance’s downward trend won’t continue. The set bonuses look awful.

The set bonus is absolutely amazing lmfao

Maybe for the physical build, having both set bonuses play around one ability on a 40 second cooldown is kinda lame.

Please let me know what you choose and what spec. I am very interested if you choose shaman or not and if so what spec you went.

It’s better for the Elementalist build. Elementalist build gets more out of the mastery buff, and also gets a fire damage buff that allows Elementalist to play Fire Nova instead of being locked into Hailstorm forever, since Fire Nova gets triple buffed by the set.

It playing around one ability is fine. It’s far better then the previous set.

I recently started lvling an elemental shaman and it’s been a blast! Incredibly easier to level than my frost mage was. Once I get 60+ I’ll decide whether to switch from elemental to resto. I enjoy playing pve and pvp, and like the versatility this class affords.

Since 10.1 released I’ve been enjoying the changes to Ele. I was able to pick up another knock back for pvp which makes moving targets around so much fun.

Today I knocked a warrior all over the place. Static totem and roots on his teammates then he was off in Lala land unable to get back to his healer.

It’s all in the timing and when to do it but with the games going a bit longer now (due to
pvp changes) it allows for some more strategy to come in rather than just blow your load and hope to get a kill.

Elemental is doing well in the raid - it’s good single target damage.

Enhancement is struggling in the raid because it has pretty mediocre single target damage, but shines on the few fights that have adds. You’ll have a spot for wind fury, regardless, unless you just don’t have melee.

Both are good mythic plus, but the meta is more range friendly then melee. Poison totem is fantastic in some dungeons.

Pvp - who knows. People were whining about being one rounded by shamans, but I don’t pvp.
