I see a lot of people “shadow strikes for 3k” like it’s supposed to be high to hit a 12% of Max HP in our burst window…meanwhile you have:
- WW hitting for 7.5k rising sun kick
- Fire Mage hitting Pyro for 8k
- Destro hitting Chaos for 9k
- MM hitting AS for 8k
How is rogue the only focus here ? cause of the invis ? our CC are easy to counter and we have literally no healing compared to other expac, 20% heal on a 30sec CD is the only one we have.
IS rogue overtuned during Dance ? maybe a bit, but i find some other classes way more broken and never once I have seen 1 rogue topping the DPS chart in BG.

That fire mage hitting you for 9 k is a gpyro you failed to stop. It’s a 3.5 second cast that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon at-least it’s not spammable anymore

sub will always be impossible to tune with multiple dance charges and subterfuge. it would be fine like this if you removed those 2 things

As long as Rogues aren’t healing more than my Ret and can get crumpled under the mighty hand of my Huntardo I probably won’t complain too much about them.

I think sub rogue is a good model for where class design should be headed towards tho.
Builders should do damage. It’s what everyone’s been asking for. (away from cooldown trading, towards active casting mattering, etc.)
Problem is like you said above, that sub rogues big builder spender damage window basically doesn’t have a cd. lol. So like I’ve said ad-nauseum, this is gonna be an assassination rogue meta.
That being said I still say having rogues damage divided between Ambush & Eviscerate is better than having it all front loaded into eviscerate.
I can remember times in BFA where my ambush wouldn’t finish someone off when they were at like 2% hp. It was that weak. But chaining eviscerates during my dance symbols window would drop people by 50%+ of their health.
Having the damage in ambush stretches the rogues damage out, and makes peeling more meaningful, IMO.
Evis still hits pretty hard thoguh, so it’s really pushed rogue burst into a strong place. Which is why having 2 charges and basically no cd is really really bad. Lol. Shadow dance symbols is lethal without kyrian. (at least vs double dps) So why on gods green earth does shadow dance have 2 charges, CDR, etc???

Since i’m assuming you’re all playing kyrian. Try pressing the potion that the bird man gives you. Better yet. Break the mould and spec into it healing you for 55% of your health over 10 seconds. If you combine that with Crimson Vial & Pre feint something you’re basically immortal. Given how bursty things are, cheat death & battlemasters have always paired well together.
Uhhh, rising sun kick isn’t a spammable move… shadow strike is spammable while shadow dancing. Hello??
yeah i feel you and agree 100%, builders should do more meaningful damage like they used to
i played sub last season quite a bit, and youre right, ss did almost nothing and all your damage was rolled into evisc. because dance uptime is still super high, theyll just nerf ss and move damage into evisc again, guaranteed. i would rather there be no subterfuge or multiple dance charges and rogue stay the same as it is now

yes and it does 3k crit, meanwhile you can 10k crit which is 3 times higher.
i can’t say i’m wholly on board the builders should do dmg train, it still seems REALLY stupid to me that fire blast does more than 1 dmg
off gcd that engages combat and feeds heating up/hot streak. why does it also have teeth
