Will my macbook sound like a jet engine? I’m not expecting any outstanding performance but
Love mine. I just bought it, got it in 24 hours. Easy to transfer data. smooth to play on.
Just out of curiosity, how loud is the fan?
Idk, I feel like it would.
I’m not currently modifying my fan settings (atm) and I rarely hear the fan, even in Epic Battleground 40v40 fights on my M2 Max 38-core configuration. Not even so much as a stutter or hiccup in these fights. I usually play for multiple hours and I only really hear the fan during those massive 40v40 clashes, if I mute my sound. The fan becomes inaudible again shortly after those fights.
Definitely a change from my 2016 Intel machine where the Battle.net launcher would sometimes spin my fans loud enough to sound like a jet.
I run everything on max.

What specs do you have? I am looking at the 16 and deciding between the pro or the max.
get the max hands down, cause it’s a huge diff not only in graphics but memory bandwidth and thunderbolt bandwidth.
I had a base model M1 for 2 months and it did “ok”. around 30-50 fps at medium settings. I bought the M1 Max with he 10/32 64gb RAM and it gets 80+ fps at the same settings. I tuned the settings to about 3/4+ and it’s stable at around 60 fps now with spikes up to 100+ in some areas.
The fan in my base model came on after a while. Haven’t really heard it on the Max.
